This common, highly contagious virus is especially risky for those aged 60 and above, living with a pre-existing health condition [1,2,3]. Are you 60 years or older living with diabetes? It’s time you know about RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus). While RSV may not sound all that familiar, it’s actually a common virus that’s very contagious. RSV can sometimes present mild symptoms at first, but if you’re a senior with a pre-existing health condition [2,3,4], the symptoms can become serious. It can cause severe infections that could require hospitalisation [1]. In certain cases, RSV might even lead to extended challenges post recovery [5,6].
