We are pleased to welcome Shelly Anne Sherwood to OptiMove (formerly Lifescan Physio) as a Principal Physiotherapist. Based at TripleOne Somerset, she brings over 20 years of clinical experience in neonatal and paediatric rehabilitation.

Shelly began her physiotherapy career in the early 2000s and has extensive experience across hospital and outpatient clinical settings. She spent 14 years at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH) working within multidisciplinary teams and contributing to clinical care, staff education, and service development in neonatal and paediatric physiotherapy.

In Singapore, she is one of the few Certified Neonatal Therapists (CNT) accredited by the Neonatal Therapy Certification Board (USA). Shelly is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Neonatology at the University of Southampton, UK.

Her clinical approach is grounded in early intervention, family-integrated models of care, and close collaboration with caregivers. She places strong emphasis on education, empowerment, and partnership with families, recognising the vital role caregivers play in supporting a child's care and recovery.

At OptiMove, Shelly provides neonatal physiotherapy and paediatric rehabilitation services tailored to each child’s needs, working closely with families to support infants and children through critical stages of growth and development.

Introducing Dr Tang Chien Her, our Paediatrician at Kids’ Clinic.

Dr Tang Chien Her is a Ministry of Health–accredited Paediatrician specialising in general paediatrics, with a special interest in newborn and child health. He began his medical career in 1999 and has served in the Department of Paediatrics at both the National University Hospital (NUH) and KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital. With more than 20 years of clinical experience, Dr Tang is committed to providing evidence-based and compassionate care for infants and children.​

Beyond clinical work, Dr Tang has extensive experience in healthcare administration and has led organisations through business, clinical, and operational capability development.​

Dr Tang has previously held management roles in MOH Holdings Pte Ltd, the Ministry of Health Singapore, and ST Logistics Pte Ltd. He also completed his national service with the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF), 1 Medical Squadron, holding the rank of Lieutenant Colonel (LTC).​

As a father of five, Dr Tang understands the joys, worries, and challenges of parenting. He values building strong and trusting relationships with families and believes that good paediatric care goes beyond medical treatment, including listening, reassurance, and partnership with parents.​

Introducing Dr Jackson, our new Hand and Wrist Surgeon.​

Dr Jackson is an experienced Hand and Wrist Surgeon with nearly 20 years of clinical practice. He began his medical career in Singapore and completed specialist training in hand surgery locally in 2016. In 2018, he further advanced his training at the renowned Wrightington Hospital in the United Kingdom under the Health Manpower Development Programme, a leading centre for upper limb and hand surgery.​

Upon returning to Singapore, Dr Jackson served as Director of the Hand, Wrist and Reconstructive Microsurgery Service at Sengkang General Hospital, where he helped develop and lead services for complex hand and wrist conditions, trauma, and microsurgical reconstruction.​

Dr Jackson has cared for a wide range of patients, including high demand athletes with acute and chronic hand or wrist injuries. His clinical interests include hand trauma, wrist injuries, sports related conditions, and reconstructive microsurgery. He works closely with Occupational Hand Therapists to support rehabilitation, conditioning, and injury prevention for coordinated care.​

He believes in a personalised, patient centred approach, guided by clear communication, teamwork, and evidence based treatment.​

Outside of work, Dr Jackson enjoys motorcycle touring and has travelled extensively across the UK, Wales, the Isle of Man, Thailand, and Cambodia.​

Dr Jackson is fluent in both English and Mandarin and will be practising at Bone Island Children’s Clinic @ Novena.​

We were honoured to have our CEO, Dr Teck Liang Beng join Siemens Healthineers at their inaugural ASEAN Oncology Summit recently in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, where he shared his perspective on the role of strategic value partnerships in scaling specialised, multidisciplinary cancer centres and expanding access to quality cancer care across ASEAN, for the benefit of patients in the long term.
