NDCS recently took part in an International Day for Older Persons 2025 outreach event at Anchorvale Community Centre, which carried the theme "Silver Years, Golden Moments".

We set up an Oral Health Education Booth with assistance from our NDCS Oral Health Ambassadors, reaching over 283 seniors and their family members.

Taking part in this event is part of NDCS’ community outreach as we strive to promote and improve oral healthcare for all.

A warm congratulations to Dr Ethiraj Lalith Prabha – Research Fellow II, ACP Office and Dr Zayim Razina – Senior Research Fellow II, ACP Office on their recent award wins.

Dr Prabha was the runner-up of the International Association for Dental Research - IADR-SEA Hatton (Senior) Award at the IADR-APR Meeting in New Delhi, India while Dr Razina won the best poster presentation at the SingHealth Duke-NUS Scientific Congress.

Our National Dental Research Institute Singapore (NDRIS) team also recently attended the IADR Asia Pacific Regional & 35th ISDR Annual Conference in New Delhi where a community of dental researchers, clinicians, academicians congregated for meaningful discussions and sharing of knowledge with the aim to enhance the future of dentistry and oral healthcare.

As part of SingHealth Allied Health Day a celebratory event was organised to appreciate our Allied Health Staff which consists of NDCS’ Oral Health Therapists, Radiographers and Clinical Photographers from our Medical Illustration Unit.

We had the privilege of having Prof Ng Wai Hoe, Group Chief Executive Officer, SingHealth and Adj A/Prof Tan Bee Yee, Group Chief Allied Health Professional, SingHealth grace the occasion as they joined in the festivities to celebrate the efforts of our Allied Health staff.

NDCS has officially launched our Mobile Dental Clinic!

We had the privilege of having Mdm Rahayu Mahzam, Minister of State, Ministry of Digital Development and Information & Ministry of Health as the Guest-of-Honour for the official launch.

She was joined by Prof Ng Wai Hoe – Group CEO, SingHealth, Cl A/Prof Chng Chai Kiat - Chief Dental Officer, MOH, CI A/Prof Goh Bee Tin - CEO, NDCS, Ms Gina Tay - Executive Chairman, Lion Corporation Singapore and Ms Cheng Siok Khoong - CEO, Bright Hill Evergreen Home in the unveiling of the Mobile Dental Clinic.

The Mobile Dental Clinic (MDC) is part of a collaboration with Lion Singapore with the aim to strengthen Singapore’s broader healthcare system through proactive screening and prevention by bringing oral healthcare to the communities.

The MDC complements our ongoing oral health programmes in the community such as the Tele-Dentistry Oral Care for Seniors (T-DOCS) and Oral Health Movement 8020 (OHM 8020) programmes aligned to Singapore’s Healthier SG plans.
