Dr Terry Teo was honoured to join the MERC Didactic Training Programme on 28 March in Singapore as a panelist, sharing insights on lateral spine surgery with fellow experts from Singapore, Malaysia, and Hong Kong. He discussed preoperative planning, operative room setup, and surgical techniques, while also moderating sessions for surgeons from across the region.

At SportsIN Group, Dr Teo continues to combine his surgical expertise and experience to advance spine care, ensuring patients benefit from safer, effective treatments while also supporting fellow professionals in raising standards across the region.

Earlier this week (19–20 January), our orthopaedic surgeon, Dr Ruben Manohara, had the privilege of teaching at the Arthrex Advanced Shoulder Course, a two-day programme bringing together orthopaedic surgeons from India and Nepal.

Through focused discussions and hands-on learning, the course provided a platform to share surgical principles, exchange perspectives, and deepen understanding of advanced shoulder techniques. Teaching alongside peers is always a two-way process, and we value the opportunity to learn from the collective experience in the room.

Moments like these reflect a shared commitment across the orthopaedic community — to continually refine our skills and, ultimately, improve patient outcomes.

Our orthopaedic surgeon, Dr Bernard Lee, had the opportunity to speak at the Singapore Orthopaedic Association Annual Scientific Meeting on 31 October, sharing his experience with the latest biological patches that support healing of torn rotator cuff tendons.

It was a valuable chance to exchange knowledge with fellow specialists and learn from one another, all with the goal of improving patient care.

Dr. Terry Teo, our spine specialist, recently had the privilege of speaking with physiotherapists about caring for patients with lumbar spine conditions.

It was a meaningful exchange of knowledge, focusing on how therapists can support patients in their recovery journey, from easing pain with non-surgical care to knowing when further treatment might be needed.

Dr. Terry is grateful for the chance to share and learn alongside dedicated therapists, all with the same goal: helping patients move better and live with less pain.
