Earlier this week (19–20 January), our orthopaedic surgeon, Dr Ruben Manohara, had the privilege of teaching at the Arthrex Advanced Shoulder Course, a two-day programme bringing together orthopaedic surgeons from India and Nepal.

Through focused discussions and hands-on learning, the course provided a platform to share surgical principles, exchange perspectives, and deepen understanding of advanced shoulder techniques. Teaching alongside peers is always a two-way process, and we value the opportunity to learn from the collective experience in the room.

Moments like these reflect a shared commitment across the orthopaedic community — to continually refine our skills and, ultimately, improve patient outcomes.

It was a meaningful exchange of knowledge, focusing on how therapists can support patients in their recovery journey, from easing pain with non-surgical care to knowing when further treatment might be needed.

Dr Ruben Manohara is grateful for the opportunity to teach at the Siriraj Orthopaedic Learning Center in Bangkok this Saturday, 16 August 2025. He’ll be sharing his experience in Reverse Shoulder Arthroplasty (RSA) through a programme combining expert-led lectures and hands-on training.

It’s a privilege to contribute to the professional development of fellow surgeons and to exchange insights that can help advance shoulder arthroplasty techniques for better patient outcomes.
