OhmSantih Yoga School - Singapore Ashtanga Yoga School. Beginners, Intermediate, Advanced Yoga, Yoga Therapy, Pre/Postnatal Yoga, Kids OhmSantih Yoga was established in 2011.

At OhmSantih, our classes are small, and we know practically everybody. We are more than just a studio – we are a yoga family. There are usually not more than 5 to 6 students in each class, so that our dedicated teachers are able to personalise the lessons according to individual needs, and also provide quality attention and adjustments to poses during the lesson. We emphasise the holistic nature

of yoga, and incorporate all aspects such as body awareness, good breathing exercises, and the importance of mindfulness and developing the capacity to relax fully, which is especially challenging in our fast-paced society. We closely guide students as they grow from lesson to lesson in their yoga journey. Hence, we seek to establish a life-long and deep yoga practice for every student to serve them well through the ups and downs of life.

3 months ago, she walked into the studio with back pain that had already become part of her daily life.

Before coming for yoga therapy, the doctor gave her 2 options —
“Learn to live with it”… or surgery.

And honestly, that sentence stayed with her for a long time.

You know that kind of pain where it’s not “serious enough” for people to panic… but it quietly affects everything?
Standing too long feels uncomfortable.
Shoulders always feel tight.
Lower back constantly tired.
Body always feels “heavy”.

After awhile, many people slowly accept pain as their “normal”.

What we worked on was not just “stretching the back”.
We looked at how her whole body was compensating.
Her posture, breathing, pelvic position, upper back tension, standing habits, movement patterns… everything matters.

Slowly, week by week, the body started changing.

Less guarding.
Less tension.
More support.
More awareness.
More ease.

Today, her back pain is gone.

“First time in a long while, I had run without having any pain, she delightfully shared!”

But honestly, our favourite part is not even the posture changes (though those are beautiful too). It is seeing someone move with confidence again and no longer feeling trapped inside their own body.

Sometimes people think yoga therapy is about difficult poses.
Actually… most of the time, it is about teaching the body how to feel safe, supported and balanced again.

3 months.
Consistent work.
Small corrections.
Big difference.

The body truly keeps score… but it also has an incredible ability to heal when given the right support. 🌿

Some Sundays are not meant for rushing.

They are meant for slowing down… soft stretching, deep breathing, healing sounds and quiet moments with yourself.

Our Sunday morning Sound Healing & Mindfulness Yoga class was a gentle reminder that healing does not always have to be intense. Sometimes, it is simply sitting in stillness, releasing the weight we didn’t realise we were carrying, and allowing the nervous system to finally exhale.

The singing bowls, the sunlight peeking through the studio windows, the collective silence in the room… everything felt so grounding.

In a world that constantly asks us to do more, these few hours felt like permission to just be. ✨

Thank you to everyone who showed up for yourselves this Sunday morning. May you carry this calmness into the week ahead. 🌷

Not your usual team bonding activity…
but honestly, maybe it should be 🧘🏻‍♀️✨

Had the privilege of hosting a group of school counsellors from MOE, the very people who spend their days holding space for students, listening, guiding, and supporting others through their ups and downs. ❤️

And this time… they chose to show up for themselves.

Through yoga, breath, and simple movement, we created a space for them to pause, to soften, and to just be ..not as counsellors, not as problem-solvers… but as human beings who also need care. ✌️

Such a fun, open, and sporting group ..lots of laughter, a little challenge, and a whole lot of good energy in the room 👋💪

Because sometimes the best kind of team bonding…
is learning how to slow down together. ☝️

Spent a really meaningful Saturday with the Healthcare Services Employees’ Union, teacher war war and her co-teachers guiding a Corporate Yoga session for the healthcare heroes ❤️

Honestly… moments like this remind us why we do what we do.

You know the session went well when those who “just came to watch” ended up joining in… ✌️
– some still in their jeans
– some realising yoga doesn’t have to be on the mat

Because truly… yoga meets you where you are.
On the mat, on the chair, or simply in your breath.

We kept it simple, accessible, and real ..focusing on releasing tension, building gentle strength, and giving the body a chance to reset after long hours of caring for others.

And what a beautiful way to celebrate International Women’s Day… ending the session with deep relaxation and a sound healing journey 🌿

To all our healthcare workers — thank you for holding space for everyone else. Today was just a small way for us to hold space for you too ❤️🙏

You weren’t just attending a class… you were part of their very first steps as teachers.

Our Batch 33 trainee teachers are coming to the final stretch of their journey. After months of learning, practising, adjusting, reflecting, and growing… they will be taking their final teaching exams on 22 March (Sunday).

And for this very special day, we would love to invite you to be part of it. ❤️

We are opening up 4 complimentary classes for anyone who would like to come and be their students. Your presence will mean so much to them. Teaching real students — feeling the nerves, the responsibility, the joy — is an important step before they go out into the world to guide others independently.

Sometimes the greatest support we can give someone is simply showing up on the mat.

To keep the classes intimate and supportive, each session is limited to 6 participants.

Session timings:

Session 1 — 12:15 – 1:15pm

Session 2 — 1:30 – 2:30pm

Session 3 — 2:45 – 3:45pm

Session 4 — 4:00 – 5:00pm
