It was a meaningful weekend for Alexandra Hospital, as a group of our staff came together to host a lively booth at the Queenstown Chinese New Year Family Carnival 2026.

Throughout the day, we engaged families, seniors and youths through interactive games and conversations that reinforced the importance of staying active and well. Beyond the festive atmosphere, the event reflected our hospital’s commitment to integrated care that extends beyond the hospital walls and into the daily lives of those we serve.

At the event, our AH CEO, Ms Margaret Lee, also presented a Wishing Tree to Senior Parliamentary Secretary Mr Eric Chua, bearing wishes written by both our staff and residents. The gesture symbolised shared aspirations for good health and continued collaboration in supporting the Queenstown community.

We look forward to strengthening these partnerships and contributing meaningfully to the wellbeing of the community we are proud to be part of ❤️

A galloping start to the Year of the Horse! 🐎

This morning, we were honoured to welcome Minister for Health Ong Ye Kung and the Healthcare Services Employees' Union (HSEU), who joined our senior leaders in spending the morning distributing oranges and red packets to colleagues working over the Lunar New Year holiday. The visit ended on a high note with a spirited lohei prepared by our chefs from the Food Services department.

Our heartfelt appreciation to all who continue to deliver health and care to our patients and their loved ones this festive season. Thank you for continuing to show up with your dedication and professionalism ❤️

Ahead of the Lunar New Year, our AH staff rolled up their sleeves for the Healthy Home programme – spending their Saturday cleaning the homes of disadvantaged residents 🏠✨

Spring cleaning is often associated with new beginnings. For AH, it was also a reminder that health extends beyond our hospital walls — it continues at home and in the community, where a safe and clean living environment plays a vital role in overall wellbeing.

As part of this upgrade, our Medication Delivery Service will be temporarily unavailable from 28 February – 9 March.

Our Occupational Therapists play a vital role in helping people develop, regain and maintain the skills needed for daily living — and this year’s Occupational Therapy Day brought that role to life.

Through interactive, educational booths, our OTs empowered patients, caregivers and staff by sharing practical strategies to navigate everyday challenges. These hands-on experiences also offered valuable insight into the realities faced by individuals with limited mobility, highlighting how occupational therapy supports independence, dignity and inclusion.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in raising awareness, and to our AH OTs for the meaningful difference you make in our patients’ lives every day!

Set within our garden, this vibrant piece adds beauty to our lush green surroundings, bringing moments of lightness and calm to patients, visitors and staff at our hospital.

Our Story

Alexandra Hospital is the first integrated general hospital in Singapore that provides a single continuum of care across different settings -- from acute, sub-acute to rehabilitative care -- under one roof. Care is anchored by a team with a principal doctor, and provided through five key programmes. These programmes cover preventive care, one-stop/one-bed inpatient acute care, chronic care, healthy ageing, and palliative care. The healthcare team and its care managers work closely with patients, families and community partners to initiate clinical and social interventions early. The aim is to provide as seamless and holistic of an experience as possible, with the best patient outcomes, by being the patient’s link to the National University Health System’s (NUHS) members, GPs, Polyclinics, VWOs and social care partners.
