Our Occupational Therapists play a vital role in helping people develop, regain and maintain the skills needed for daily living — and this year’s Occupational Therapy Day brought that role to life.

Through interactive, educational booths, our OTs empowered patients, caregivers and staff by sharing practical strategies to navigate everyday challenges. These hands-on experiences also offered valuable insight into the realities faced by individuals with limited mobility, highlighting how occupational therapy supports independence, dignity and inclusion.

This festive season, we’re grateful to Paragon Shopping Centre and Pei-per for the generous donation of Blooming Windmill, a floral installation that now finds its home at Alexandra Hospital. Set within our garden, this vibrant piece adds beauty to our lush green surroundings, bringing moments of lightness and calm to patients, visitors and staff at our hospital.

As the year draws to a close, we are thankful for partners who continue to support us through thoughtful gestures like these, and who share our belief that art plays an important role in shaping a healing environment for our patients.

His work reminds us that food can comfort the soul, uplift the hospital experience and make even the toughest days a little sweeter.
