Vet Emergency & Specialty Hospital - Singapore

Vet Emergency & Specialty Hospital - Singapore VES Hospital is the first full service veterinary hospital in Singapore recognised by AVA. Our Hospital provides specialist veterinary and Emergency care 24/7.

Veterinary Emergency & Specialty (VES) Hospital Singapore is a new specialty referral and emergency hospital in Singapore. VES provides specialised, expert veterinary care for complex medical and surgical problems by referral from a family veterinarian or through our 24/7 Emergency service. We believe in the important relationship between the pet owner, the primary veterinarian, and the specialist, and we hope to build a strong partnership with the veterinary community in Singapore. Therefore, to enhance this collaborative approach, walk-in and second opinion consultations are not offered unless true emergencies, and general practice services are not provided. Emergency services are available 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year

Dogs are experts at masking their pain. Because of this, spinal issues can often go unnoticed until they become a serious problem.

A spinal injury puts pressure on the nerves and can cause significant discomfort. Subtle changes in posture, movement, or behaviour can be warning signs. Recognising these early is crucial for managing pain and preventing further complications. 🐾

⚠️ Symptoms like paralysis or dragging paws indicate a serious medical emergency, and pet parents should seek veterinary care without delay.

On 1 March 2026, we welcomed over 150 veterinary professionals to the VES Continuing Education Symposium. It was a morning of clinical depth across Neurology, Cardiology and Internal Medicine, followed by a live panel discussion where questions flowed and knowledge was shared.

More than a series of talks, the symposium created space for meaningful exchange, sharper clinical thinking and stronger collaboration within Singapore’s veterinary community.

Thank you to our speakers, sponsors and all attendees who made the conversations so engaging. Catch the highlights in our recap video. We look forward to seeing you at the next VES Symposium!

Gastric Dilatation-Volvulus (GDV), commonly known as Bloat, is a sudden and life-threatening condition in dogs. 🐶⚠️

The stomach first bloats, then dangerously twists on itself. This traps fluid and gas, rapidly increasing pressure, which can choke blood vessels and cause severe shock, damaging the spleen, stomach, and other organs. Without immediate intervention, GDV can be fatal.

Signs to watch for: restlessness, a distended abdomen, drooling, unproductive retching (trying to vomit, but nothing comes up), or sudden weakness.

If you notice these signs, seek emergency veterinary care!
