This course is aimed at preparing students to function competently as registered nurses. Students will assess, manage and prevent problems related to health and illnesses. In 2009, the Diploma in Optometry was introduced. The courses, which include lectures, tutorials and clinical laboratories, are conducted at Ngee Ann Polytechnic.

Hi HS Nation!
We share some wonderful news to start the new academic year. Twelve HS Nursing students participated in the Anatomy Challenge organised by the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine at Nanyang Technological Institute. They flew our HS flag proudly and raised it very high! Report from HS Staff in charge, Dr Han Aung Tun: "Watching our students stand tall among pre-med students from all JCs and polytechnics was truly a proud moment. They represented HS brilliantly!"
HS Group 2, comprising Tan Zi Xiu (year 3), Su Yadanar Myint (year 2), Hsu Eain Si (year 2), and Ye Htut (year 2), secured third prize in the team challenge and awarded $200. The team from Hwa Chong Institution clinched first prize, while Raffles Institution took second place.

On top of this achievement, Tan Zi Xiu and Su Yadana Myint also won individual awards—merit and distinction, respectively.

Introducing the spanking new Director of the School of Health Sciences - Ngee Ann Polytechnic (HS), Mr Lee Seng Teck in Ngee Ann Polytechnic. In his inaugural speech to the freshies in 2026' Freshie Orientation Programme, he highlighted the strengths of the HS DNA. We are diverse, we are inclusive in our diversity, and WE CARE! This is the core of who we are, Seng Teck reiterates as he welcomed the new members to our HS Families, the Class of 2029. One more exciting generation of superheroes-without-capes who will protect our nation's sight and defend our society's health.
