We are pleased to announce that the winning artwork for the AOMSS 30th Anniversary Logo Design Competition is Design #4, belonging to Dr Lee Chee Seng!
Congratulations Dr Lee!
Logo Description:
Green and light orange were chosen in keeping with the colour scheme of the original logo, which has served the association well for 30 years. Light orange signifies youth and vibrancy while green represents rebirth and renewal. The two concentric circles represent the wide and ever-expanding scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The Rod of Asclepius, a serpent entwined rod wielded by the Greek deity Asclepius, is a symbol of healing and medicine. This symbol signifies the extensive medical knowledge required in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the tight-knit relationship with our medical colleagues. The laurel wreath is used as a symbol of victory, success, and achievement, which aptly represents the accomplishments of those who paved the way for this specialty in Singapore.
With this, we would like to also announce the migration of our FB page to https://www.facebook.com/AOMSSingapore. Please do follow us to the new page for all further Association updates!
