1,200 hearts united , one shared purpose.

iWalk 2026 brought our community together at Punggol Digital District for an inspiring day of movement, connection and giving back. From scenic 2.5km and 5km routes to vibrant post-walk activities and health advocacy booths, every moment reflected the power of coming together for a meaningful cause. 💛

The walk was flagged off by Guest-of-Honour Mr Tan Kiat How, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Digital Development and Information & Ministry of Health, alongside Special Guests Mr Gan Kim Yong, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Trade and Industry & Grassroots Adviser for Punggol GRC and Ms Yeo Wan Ling, Member of Parliament and Grassroots Adviser for Punggol GRC.

We gathered to show support for our community, each step taken symbolised support for our patients as they journey from hospital to home, rebuilding independence, restoring confidence, and continuing their recovery beyond our walls.

We’re deeply grateful for the strong support from our participants, partners, donors, and sponsors, with over $250,000 raised to support patient care, programmes and those in need. 🙌

In conjunction with World Social Prescribing Day today, A/Prof Lee Kheng HockDCEO (Academic Medicine & Partnerships), SCH, A/Prof Gan Wee Hoe, CEO, SCH and Dr Hiromasa Okayasu, Director of Data, Strategy & Innovation at the World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Office for the Western Pacific, shared in a Straits Times Op-Ed on why care goes beyond medicine.

A 69-year-old widow’s journey reminds us that healing isn’t just physical. While her pneumonia and broken arm recovered, it was a simple craft activity that rebuilt her confidence and reconnected her to the community and thus becoming the true turning point in her recovery.

This is the power of social prescribing: connecting seniors to meaningful activities, relationships, and support systems so they can age well. 💛

Because health isn’t only about treatment, it’s about rebuilding kampung spirit, where community care makes all the difference.

Happy World Social Prescribing Day 💛

Behind every meaningful recovery is more than just medical care, it also includes social prescriptions. it’s connection, purpose, and support. Our Wellbeing Coordinators give connection, purpose and support to patients. They play a vital role in the wards, engaging patients through meaningful activities, uplifting their spirits, and connecting them to community resources beyond their hospital stay.

Healing doesn’t stop at discharge but continues in the community, with the right support by your side!
