The 2025 World Organization of Family Doctors (WONCA) Lisbon conference was such a blast !

We were privileged to have several of our members join the international Primary Care fraternity in exciting discussions cutting across latest developments in the practice of family medicine as well as novel technologies for primary care, including Emeritus Chair Dr. Leong Choon Kit, our Chair Dr. S A Aziz Noordin , and many more!

We even heard from Dr. Dinesh VG who was invited to deliver an Oral Presentation on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare, latest developments like AI agents and their potential to enhance our practice in Primary care and beyond!

We look forward to continue the conversations around the advancements in primary care with colleagues and friends new and old. Until next time!

A Look Back at Q1 2025! 📅

🎊 In Jan, GP+ kicked off the year with a joyous lohei and Year Opening Event, revisiting the physician’s pledge and signing an MOU with NTUC. We started strong with our first CME Talk of the year covering Cardiology Updates for primary care. 🫀

💘On 15 Feb, we explored a topic close to GP+’s heart: social services in primary care. This sparked meaningful conversations on enhancing support for patients in need, and we’re now actively looking into solutions to allow smoother referrals for GP+ members to refer their patients to social service agencies.

🧠 March saw us diving into cognitive issues in primary care, with valuable insights from a geriatric expert, a GP, and a clinical psychologist. ✨

🎀 This October was Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and GP+ members Dr. Leong and Dr. Andrew Lee hosted impactful Public Talks with SeaCare Co-op, AUPE Co-op, and My First Skool, engaging over 100 participants in the fight against breast cancer.

💡 They discussed the critical importance of early detection and routine screening, with more affordable options now available. The doctors also highlighted the benefits of 3D mammograms and introduced the GP+ x SWI special screening package.

🎓 In the same month, we also held a CME Talk for GPs titled “Enhancing Early Breast Cancer Detection with 3D Tomosynthesis - Unleashing a New Dimension for General Physicians”. On that same day, we launched the GP+ x SWI Screening Package!

💪 For our GP+ members: don’t miss out on offering the GP+ x SWI package to your patients, especially this October and November. Together, let’s take action in the fight against cancer!
