Coden family and friends enjoying an evening of dining and entertainment during this year’s Singapore Dental Association (SDA) gala dinner 😊 We are very honoured that our colleague, Dr Ng Fooi Chin, was this year’s SDA Honour Roll awardee. The SDA Honour Roll recognises outstanding dental professionals who have not only shown clinical and academic excellence but also have made significant contributions to society. We are very proud that Dr Ng has achieved all these and more!

We now have 2 SDA Honour Roll recipients in Coden- Dr Ng Fooi Chin and Prof Ho Kee Hai (awarded in 2000) 😎

We are very honoured that two of our esteemed colleagues, Prof Ho Kee Hai and Dr Loke Wei Qiang, delivered lectures during the recent IDEM 2022 Conference. The IDEM conference is a biennial regional dental conference held in Singapore and is crown jewel event of Singapore’s dental scene. This year’s conference was held in Marina Bay Sands Expo and was attended by over six thousand delegates from all over the world. Swipe on to see some snapshots of our colleagues in action!

In line with our government’s heightened safe-distancing measures as a circuit breaker to the Covid-19 pandemic, all non-essential elective dental treatment is hence deferred to after 4th May 2020.

Dental Implants – Which brand is better?

There are many brands of implants, e.g. Nobel Biocare, Camlog, Biomet 3i, Straumann, Osstem etc. All of them have met the basic requirements of regulatory bodies to be licensed for sales. Different implant systems have different designs for various clinical conditions. Some are short and fat to avoid the sinus or nerve. Some are narrow to fit narrow gaps. Some implant surfaces are treated for faster integration with the bone.

We recommend patients to see the dentist for advice on which implant system suit their own needs better.
