This Mother’s Day, we celebrate the women who carry so much with strength, love, and endless care, often putting everyone else before themselves. 💐
To all the mums, grandmothers, and mother figures: thank you for everything you do, every single day. We hope you take a moment to care for yourself too because you deserve the same kindness and support you so freely give to others. ❤️

Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at Physio Down Under 💙

🧐 Ever wondered what this is in our physio rooms?

This device is called a Myoplus, a specialised electrotherapy unit used in pelvic health physiotherapy. It connects to a vaginal probe and can be used in a few key ways:

🔵 Electrical stimulation: Delivers gentle impulses to help the pelvic floor muscles contract

🔵 Useful for: Patients who struggle to activate these muscles (e.g. postnatal recovery, post-surgery, or pelvic floor weakness/incontinence)

🔵 Muscle re-education: Helps “wake up” and strengthen the pelvic floor through guided contractions

It can also be used in EMG (biofeedback) mode:

📌 Measures your pelvic floor muscle activity in real time
📌 Shows visual feedback so you can see how well you’re contracting
📌 Helps improve awareness, control, and coordination of the muscles

All settings are individually tailored and adjusted by the physiotherapist to ensure it’s both safe and comfortable.
