Service with heart and hope Today, Ren Ci operates a community hospital, chronic sick unit, nursing homes and senior care centre.

Established since 1994, Ren Ci Hospital is one of the few charity healthcare institutions in Singapore to provide high quality and affordable medical, nursing and rehabilitative care services for the community, based on the principles of loving kindness and compassion. Ren Ci plays an integral role in supporting the healthcare needs of the elderly through adopting holistic way of delivering person-centred care. Besides giving hope to the frail elderly by helping overcome their disabilities and teaching their families to care for them at home, Ren Ci also partners various community groups and social enterprises to give dignity back to the elderly. To meet the growing needs of our aging population, we are now preparing to operate a new nursing home within Woodlands Health Campus when ready in 2023.

So grateful for the generosity of our friends at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH)! 20 different teams across TTSH joined hands to pack and decorate festive hampers for Ren Ci's nursing home residents.

Each hamper was prepared with care to bring joy, energy and a sense of celebration to our seniors. Thank you to everyone who contributed their time and effort to make this meaningful initiative possible!

We are happy to announce that our Active Ageing Centre (AAC) team has won the Trailblazer Award at the Kopi-aac! Event held by the Agency of Integrated Care (AIC)!

Our AAC team clinched the Trailblazer Award for its “Exercise for a Good Cause” initiative, bringing Bukit Gombak residents together to stay active and give back to the community. The initiative helps residents stay active by raising 100g of rice for vulnerable families for every 60 minutes of exercise. Since December 2024, residents have contributed more than 600kg of rice, supporting six social service agencies and a local mosque.

This initiative shows that when we work together as a community, small contributions can go a long way and make a big positive impact on the community.

We were delighted to welcome the management and volunteers from Masjid Yusof Ishak for a meaningful pre‑Ramadan visit.

They generously gifted each resident a flask and shared chocolates with our dedicated care team. In the spirit of togetherness, they also took time to extend warm Lunar New Year wishes to our Chinese residents.

It was a beautiful reminder of how friendship, respect and care can bring communities together across cultures.

We are truly grateful for this heartfelt partnership.

👟 It’s a Right Fit!

A generous donor recently donated new footwear for our residents at Ren Ci @ Ang Mo Kio.

Our staff worked together to identify appropriate residents, measure sizes, assess needs, and make sure each pair was the perfect fit, supporting mobility, stability, and overall health. With great teamwork across Ren Ci, about 15 residents now have safe, comfortable footwear that fit well for daily activities and rehab sessions. ❤️

Kicking off the year with Sweet Goodbyes and Sweet New Journeys!

We came together as one Ren Ci to celebrate the incredible leadership of Dr Jamie Mervyn Lim, honouring his dedication, vision and the many lives he has touched. From heartfelt tributes to shared laughter, it was a beautiful reminder of how deeply he has shaped Ren Ci. We also officially welcomed A/Prof Yong Keng Kwang to the family, with energy, excitement and a cheeky little KPI for the future 😉

The roots of Ren Ci traced back to 1994 with the primary mission of providing affordable medical, nursing and rehabilitative care services for the community, living to its name of “compassion” and “benevolence”. This is driven by the principle of serving all irrelevance of background, race and religion.

As a charity healthcare institution, we have stood by time and challenge to grow, supporting residents and patients from low income families. We strive to fulfil the wishes of our patients through guiding them back into society from the comfort of our community hospital and nursing homes. Beside government assistance, our work has garnered the generous support from donors of all from walks of life; every dollar has empowered them with a new lease of hope. This is exceptionally crucial to the sustainability of our deliveries to the benefits of those we serve. Your assistance is the best supplement for our beneficiaries.
