𝑫𝒆𝒂𝒓 𝒚𝒐𝒖,

We’ve dreamt big together, raced with excitement and steadied through heartache. 💗

You may not always notice me - but I’m your quiet partner through it all.

This month, let’s celebrate that journey together, for every beat we’ve shared and every one still to come.

Love,
Your Heart✨

🔺 𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒆𝒔 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒕 𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒆?

Your heart rate naturally rises for many reasons — from excitement and joy, to stress and even simple conversations. 💬💓

But here’s the important question: When should you be concerned?

“It’s abnormal when your heart rate is very high while you’re sitting down and not doing anything — especially if you experience symptoms like palpitations, chest tightness or breathlessness,” shares Dr Lim Wei Yao, Consultant, Department of Cardiology, NUHCS. “These are the times when you need to seek medical care.” 🚨

🎥 Watch the video to learn what affects your heart rate — and when it’s time to take action.

In 2020, 51-year-old Ms Vivian Chee faced a life-changing diagnosis and underwent her first major lung surgery. 🫁

Five years later, after three major lung surgeries as part of her treatment — she was left with only 50% lung function — and most would have slowed down after this.

But not Ms Vivian Chee.

Instead of giving up, the mother of four stepped back into the world of triathlons – stronger, braver and more determined than ever. 💪

Her journey is a powerful reminder that resilience is not all about physical strength but choosing to rise, again and again. ✨

🎥 Watch her share her incredible story of hope, courage and the will to keep going.

Despite a cancer relapse that required multiple lung surgeries, Ms Vivian Chee, 57, never stopped crossing finishing lines in triathlons 🏊‍♀️ 🚴‍♀️ 🏃🏻‍♀️ and conquered HYROX - even with half her lung capacity.
