Carnation Footcare was first exclusively brought into Singapore and Malaysia in 1983 to offer consumers more different choices in footcare products. For the past 30 years it has gone through different management. In early 2014, Styles Chong was bought into the company as a partner to help his father, Mr Chong Mok Loy to run the business due to his knowledge and
past experiences in business management. As Styles was learning the ropes about the industry, he was shocked at the fact that majority of the public has little to no knowledge about foot care benefits, much less the dire consequences choosing the wrong footcare products can cause. One particular incident that stayed with him was while he was doing his research in a retail pharmacy. Before he can reach the footcare section, he realized that there was already a lady standing there; looking extremely confused and flustered, ransacking the products on the rack. Out of curiosity, he approached her and asked if she needed any help. Like many others, he was expecting her to say no out of courtesy. To his surprise, she turned to him and immediately expressed her frustrations on how it was so hard to find the right foot care products that can solve her problem She was even more disappointed that even in house-pharmacist were unable to her pinpoint what particular foot problem she was having and was recommended “something that may help her out for now”. After asking her a few short questions, it turned out to be just corns. A very simple condition that can be cured and gotten rid of by using a pack of corn cap plasters that costs just $2.85. However, many like her are forced to prolong their suffering due to the lack of knowledge. Can you just imagine the pain these people have to endure every single day? This incident got Styles thinking and inspired him to work hard for the community and thus started his path in raising awareness, educate and help the public in footcare knowledge and problems. He wants to make sure that no one else will have to endure such unnecessary pain anymore. To achieve this goal, he works closely and exclusively with Carnation Footcare, the leader in foot care industry in the United Kingdom and over 40 other countries. By providing the public with the correct foot care knowledge and making sure that the public have easy access to Carnation Footcare's products, he hopes that the public will be benefited greatly in their daily life. As of 2015, almost two years in the business, he has personally help thousands of ladies and men with their issues as simple such as corns all the way to medical problems such as heel spurs and plantar fasciitis. In the next few years, he would like to bring his knowledge and the Carnation Footcare brand to other countries such as Thailand, India, Philippines as well as Vietnam so that they too, can start taking care of their health from the bottom of their feet.
