Thank you for the pastel art piece and for trusting the team .ortho with your surgery.

Posted • Was gifted a Polaroid photo during my post op review at .ortho and decided to practise drawing, especially the foreshortening of the feet.

Didn’t plan very well and simply reached for the paper nearest me. Three “firsts” in this pastel piece - despite my preference for portraits and figures, this is the first time I had to tackle two figures in one piece, first time I had to draw with the paper and pastels on my lap (it’s challenging - that’s why I “abandoned” the background!), and the first time drawing myself 🤦🏻‍♀️

And I think the doctor looked way better (including “likeness”) than me 😅

It’s been 3 years since coming out to private practice. In a blink how time flies!
Has been a wonderful season for The Bone & Joint Centre (BJC) working alongside our colleagues from - the “invisible” army supporting us in the background.
Lots of ups and downs starting out during covid but God has been faithful.
Special shout out to my awesome wife (& kiddos) for her constant prayers, support and sacrifice behind the scenes giving me the “wings” to fly these past 15 years.
To all who have made the last 3 years possible and enjoyable, including our patients, medical and industry partners and collaborators, BIG THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart.

Life was really bleak back in Sept 2022… my sporting pursuits were on permanent hold and even future walking unaided was questionable.

Fast forward to Feb 2023, i’m back in the saddle with a newly minted ankle and a tremendous zest for the sporting life. Truly humbled by the love and care of my family / friends / medical practitioners that nursed my broken body (and spirit) back to life.

Special thanks to Dr Kevin Koo and the teams at The Bone & Joint centre and The rehab centre singapore. “Season ending but not career ending” were his closing words to me on our first visit. He was right from the get go… pessimism and doubt had nary a chance to take root, and through his healing hands, i see the wonder of a much greater power at work.
