Someone once asked me, “What’s the point of knowing the future?” I’ve pondered this question occasionally and weighed the value of my contribution.
Let me share an incident where the value of knowing the future became evident.
My mother was the first official sceptic of what I do. She was doubtful and unsure about my abilities. But in time, she came around and sought my help.
It was December 2014. She sat across my dining table, looking very solemn. She shared her concerns, particularly about her children, who were always her top priority. I offered to answer three of her questions, and one of them stood out.
It was just a fortnight after my sister’s wedding. My sister had married a bit later than the rest of us, and my mother was concerned about when she would conceive. I gave her an answer. In my vision, I saw my sister carrying a 2-month-old baby on her next birthday in November 2015.
As predicted, my sister conceived and gave birth in September 2015, exactly as I had foreseen.
However, when the family arrived at the hospital to visit my sister and her newborn, we didn’t see the baby. My sister told us it was too late, and the baby had been taken to the nursery. Despite our pleas, she insisted we couldn’t see the baby. The next day, we learned that the baby had pneumonia and had to be in special care. As a first-time mother, the experience was deeply shocking and devastating for her and her husband. The sight of their baby surrounded by tubes was heartbreaking, and the paediatrician’s vague explanations only intensified their fear.
At that moment, my mother revealed my prediction to the family. This brought a wave of relief and assurance. The baby would pull through this ordeal. Today, that baby has grown into a healthy child.
Is it valuable to know the future? Absolutely! Knowing the future can provide more than just a glimpse into what’s to come. It can offer comfort, hope and assurance during uncertain times. In this case, it reassured my mother and provided strength to my entire family. It helped us to navigate difficult times with confidence and less fear.
