Our Story
Dr Natasha Lim Eye Centre was founded by Dr Natasha Lim in 2012, to provide quality care and advice for the windows to our soul "Our Eyes". Dr Lim graduated from the University of Nottingham Medical School in the United Kingdom (UK). She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in London. She underwent a residency training programme in Ophthalmology in Central London (1998 to 2000), then onward to advanced surgical training at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London (2001 to 2005). Dr Lim was appointed as Specialist Fellow in Ocuoplastic Surgery (2005), and in Cornea, Cataract and Refractive Surgery (2006 to 2008) at the MOORFIELDS EYE HOSPITAL, one of the most renowned eye centres in the world.
Since her return to Singapore in 2008, Dr Natasha Lim had been appointed Consultant at the Cataract and Comprehensive Ophthalmology Service of Singapore National Eye Centre. In 2011, she became the Medical Director of The Lasik Surgery Clinic at Wheelock and Centre for Eye Surgery.
Dr Lim is a fellowship-trained refractive surgeon with keen research and clinical interests in Laser Refractive Surgery and Refractive Cataract Surgery. She had been a joint physician in London for an international clinical trial (which met US FDA standards) of a new generation excimer laser machine for an industry leader in the laser refractive industry. She is a registered VISX excimer laser and IntraLase femtosecond laser practitioner in the UK and in Singapore.
Dr Lim has participated as an invited speaker at international ophthalmic meetings such as the United Kingdom and Ireland Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (UKISCRS) and the British Society of Refractive Surgeons (BSRS). She has presented her research work based around her sub-specialty interest at international meetings, published them in several international peer reviewed journals and has also authored for Ophthalmic and Neurology textbooks in the UK. Dr Lim has lectured widely in both English and Mandarin on topics of cataract surgery and LASIK surgery to fellow doctors, medical students, nursing staff and the general public.
