Last Friday, I had the privilege of giving a talk on age-related eye conditions in celebration of Father’s Day - a topic that hits close to home.

One of the most nerve-wracking yet meaningful surgeries I’ve ever done was performing cataract surgery on my own father. It was my way of giving back for everything he’s done for me.

Thank you to the warm and welcoming folks at Goh Loo Club for having me, and to Rain Wang for the seamless coordination and Jing for the generous sponsorship.

Here’s to protecting our sight as we age, and to the fathers who’ve helped shape our vision of the world.

Am I at risk of cataracts or glaucoma? What can I do to protect my eyes as I age? 👁️

These were some of the important questions we explored last weekend at Tanglin Country Club, where I had the pleasure of engaging with a curious and enthusiastic crowd.

We discussed common age-related eye conditions such as dry eyes, retinal detachment, macular degeneration, and more - leaving guests with practical advice in terms of diet and eye protection to maintain good eye health.

Guests also enjoyed complimentary eye screenings, giving many a clearer picture of their eye health and early intervention options if needed.

Earlier this month, we had the privilege of continuing education and learning with the amazing nurses we work with at Gleneagles Hospital!

We spent our Saturday having insightful sharings and discussions on anterior segment surgeries and vitrectomies - because open dialogue and teamwork are essential to continuously improving patient care.

A huge thank you to the dedicated staff who took time off to attend. Your commitment makes all the difference!

Another weekend, another insightful talk! 🗣️ This time, I had the pleasure of speaking at Serangoon Gardens Country Club about age-related eye conditions, including cataracts, dry eyes, glaucoma, retinal detachment, and macular degeneration.

After the session, we conducted complimentary eye screenings for attendees, because early detection and proactive care make all the difference.

Had an amazing time at ’s kickoff this Wednesday! I got to chat about three important eye conditions: presbyopia (aka Lau Hua), cataracts, and age-related macular degeneration (AMD).

We all want to kick off the year year by ensuring we have good eye health to achieve our goals, and this session was the perfect opportunity to start on the right note. As we age, changes to our bodies and vision are inevitable, but staying informed about these changes is the first step toward managing them effectively. During the session, I shared key habits to avoid and practical strategies to adopt.
