Eagle Eye Centre (EEC) is a one-stop comprehensive eye specialist centre in Singapore.

Currently headed by ophthalmologists Dr Julian Theng, Dr Lim Wee Kiak, Dr Jacob Cheng and Dr Chng Nai Wee. EEC has an established reputation for offering quality eye care services to patients at affordable prices. Adding another seven doctors within the team namely Dr Kelvin Lee, Dr Stephen Teoh, Dr Lynn Yeo, Dr Harold Choi, Dr Inez Wong, Dr E-Shawn Goh, and Dr Yong Shao Onn. EEC is able to handle complex cases, whereby multiple specialists within the group can come together to discuss what is the best solution for the patient. EEC was opened on 28 Nov 2006, and was Singapore's 1st one stop LASIK and Presbyopia (Lao Hua Yan) Treatment Centre. Today, the 3,000 sq ft modern centre has expanded to provide a wide range of eye services, including refractive surgery, presbyopia treatment, cataract surgery, corneal transplants, glaucoma and diabetes eye screening and treatments, age-related macular degeneration treatments, management of ocular inflammations and uveitis, retinal services, oculoplastics surgery, myopia control programmes for children and more.

👨‍⚕️ Meet Dr. Val Phua
Dr. Val Phua is a Senior Consultant Ophthalmologist at Eagle Eye Centre. He completed his medical studies and Master's in Ophthalmology at the National University of Singapore, followed by specialist training at the Singapore National Eye Centre. He also holds a postgraduate qualification in Ophthalmology from the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in London.

Dr. Phua has presented at several ophthalmology conferences in the region and internationally. His research has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as the American Journal of Ophthalmology, BMJ Open Quality, and Investigative Ophthalmology and Visual Science. He is also a contributing author to ophthalmology textbooks used in postgraduate medical training.

Outside of his clinical work, Dr. Phua remains active in education and values maintaining a well-balanced lifestyle through faith, family, and fitness.

👩‍⚕️ Meet Dr. Lynn Yeo
Dr. Lynn Yeo is a Senior Consultant Eye Surgeon and Director of Refractive Surgery and Comprehensive Ophthalmology Services at Eagle Eye Centre.

Her clinical interests include implantable contact lens (ICL) surgery, LASIK and laser eye procedures, presbyopia correction, and cataract and refractive surgery. She also manages a range of general eye conditions including dry eyes, myopia, diabetic eye disease, floaters, and age-related macular degeneration.

Dr. Yeo trained in Singapore and the United Kingdom, with subspecialty experience at Moorfields Eye Hospital, Oxford Eye Hospital, and the Birmingham & Midlands Eye Hospital. Her contributions extend to international conferences and peer-reviewed publications.

Outside of her clinical practice, Dr. Yeo is also involved in yoga education and wellness teaching.

👨‍⚕️ Meet Dr. Wesley Chong
Dr. Wesley Chong is a Senior Consultant Eye Surgeon at Eagle Eye Centre with clinical interests in cataract and refractive surgery, as well as comprehensive ophthalmology.

He manages a wide range of conditions including dry eyes, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, floaters, retinal tears, refractive errors such as myopia, astigmatism, presbyopia, and myopia control.

Dr. Chong graduated from the National University of Singapore and completed his ophthalmology residency under the SingHealth ACGME-I programme. He further trained in cataract and intraocular lens procedures and has contributed to research and education in ophthalmology.

He continues to be involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, and has presented his work at both local and international conferences.

👨‍⚕️ Meet Dr Chng Nai Wee

Dr Chng Nai Wee is a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Eagle Eye Centre with clinical interests in cataract surgery, presbyopia correction, and refractive procedures such as LASIK, Epi-LASIK, SMILE, PRK and ICL.

He graduated with Honours in Medicine from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and the National University of Ireland and later received a Masters in Medicine (Ophthalmology) from the National University of Singapore. Dr Chng holds multiple fellowships in ophthalmology and has been involved in both clinical teaching and research.

He has presented at international ophthalmology meetings and contributed to studies on intraocular lens technology and refractive vision correction techniques. His surgical experience includes managing presbyopia with monovision, inlays, and multifocal lens implants.

👨‍⚕️ Meet Dr. Harold Choi
Dr. Harold Choi is a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Eagle Eye Centre. He has clinical experience in general ophthalmology and a focus on refractive procedures, including LASIK, Epi LASIK, Zeiss SMILE, and cataract surgery.

His areas of clinical interest also include glaucoma screening, diabetic eye disease screening, and age-related macular degeneration. Dr. Choi has been involved in research, public health screening initiatives, and has participated in overseas medical volunteer work.

He is committed to providing evidence-based care tailored to each patient’s condition and treatment goals.

👨‍⚕️ Meet Dr Jacob Cheng
Dr Jacob Cheng is a Senior Consultant Ophthalmologist with a subspecialty in Vitreoretinal Diseases. His clinical expertise includes managing age-related macular degeneration (AMD), diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular diseases and inherited retinal disorders.

He has performed numerous cataract surgeries using advanced intraocular lenses, and has experience in femto-laser bladeless LASIK, Epi-LASIK, and ICL procedures. Dr Cheng also has a special interest in visual electrophysiology and retinal imaging, having trained at the Moorfields Eye Hospital in London.

👨‍⚕️ Meet Dr Paul Zhao

Dr Paul Zhao is a Senior Consultant Ophthalmologist with a focus on retina conditions and complex cataract surgery. He has extensive experience managing retinal detachment, diabetic eye disease, macular disorders, and dislocated lenses using advanced surgical techniques.

Dr Zhao has held leadership roles in public healthcare and the military, and continues to serve as a Visiting Consultant at several public hospitals.

Dr. Stephen Teoh is a Senior Consultant Ophthalmologist and Director of Vitreoretinal Surgery at Eagle Eye Centre. He specialises in advanced retinal procedures including retinal detachment repair, macular hole surgery, diabetic vitrectomy and macular disease management. He also looks after our uveitis and ocular inflammation services.
