You are a Rockstar for the world.. but for me, you will always be a Rock! 4 decades regardless of distance, communication or time! From our childhood adventures (You trying to save the boys I used to beat up or running all over the house to escape sir Wahdat’s chitters).. to loosig our precious parents and now to becoming parents and seeing our own kids grow up… we have been there for each other! It’s a blessing to grow old with old friends … you are one of my oldest and most consistent one! Love you and hope to see you more often.. life feels a lot shorter now ♥️

Happiest birthday, Boing ♥️

Some stories don’t begin with a brand—they begin in childhood. (See the last photo :)

I grew up wearing clothes designed by Nida. Back then, it was just her instinct, her eye, her quiet magic with pretty much anything she touched (I used to call her “the girl with the golden hands”) None of us called it a “brand”… but even then, you could feel something very special taking shape.

Years later, seeing her build .by.nedaal in Pakistan feels like watching that same incredible spark turn into something undeniable!!!!

Wearing this piece in Turkey was surreal. People kept stopping me, asking about it, calling it something out of a “royal Ottoman workshop.” And I kept thinking—if only they knew. If only they could see what I’ve seen all along…. Because this isn’t just beautiful work. It’s patience. It’s heritage. It’s every single stitch done by hand, with a kind of care you don’t come across often anymore ♥️

And the truth is, these photos don’t do it justice!

But I can.

I’ve been wearing her stories long before the world noticed….. And I couldn’t be prouder of you, Nida…. My super talented, gifted, beautiful childhood friend❤️

International ChairWork Psychotherapy Conference - fireside chat on “Creating a Bridge for ChairWork for Intergenerational and Multicultural Healing.”

Silence equals submission.
Submission, in the land of the “pure,” equals patience.
And patience—
oh, they beautifully brainwashed us that patience was HOLY!
There was nothing ‘holy’ about conditioning women to loose their ‘voice’ so they can never speak about what was done to them!

With time, patience became tolerance.
Not the kind that’s rooted in wisdom,
but the kind that asks you to tolerate everything, regardless of how badly you are treated or what’s done to you or your self respect!

The abuse.
The cruelty.
The injustice.
The persistent unkindness.
The slow erosion of yourself... and your self respect.

And they called that a “good woman”.

A “good woman” doesn’t speak up about abuse or injustice!
She endures it silently.
She makes excuses.
She smiles through pain.
She calls her silence strength
and her exhaustion, love.
And the society? Well, it rushes to give her a medal by reminding her: “Wow! You are so wise! You know how to keep the family and its honor together!”

And then one day, when she finally dares to speak—
no matter how softly, kindly or assertively —
the labels arrive.

Defiant.
Disrespectful.
Difficult.
Crazy.
Aggressive.
Hyper sensitive
Out of control
Westernised
Exaggerator
Rebellious
Drama Queen
Overly reactive
Bad woman

But LET me tell you the truth:

Silence was the smartest manipulation tactic of all.
A way to keep you voiceless.
To keep you quiet in the name of honor,
in the name of family,
in the name of love.

YOU are not the names they call you! This is how they have successfully conditioned you to shut up by constantly gaslighting you into believing IT IS NOT THE ABUSE OR MISTREATMENT THAT IS THE PROBLEM - IT IS YOU TALKING ABOUT IT!

JUST DON’T SHUT UP! Give up the damn fear! Unlearn every lie that said silence equals goodness.
It never did.
Let’s speak up … together and raise all HELL!

Happiest Birthday, my sweetheart!

Someone shared this with me and said, “This is so you! It reminded me of you.” When I listened to it, it made me cry for reasons I can’t fully explain — and in that deeply reflective moment, I thought of you!

I’m sharing it with you as a reminder of how incredibly proud I am of you and your courageous journey inward.

Shine on, Pooja! The world needs you — and your voice — to inspire those who are still caged, yet somehow believe they are free. ♥️

She’s not crazy!

She’s reacting to years of abuse, mistreatment, gaslighting, and silence.

She’s reacting to a home where apologies never come, accountability doesn’t exact, where her pain and dignity is ignored, and her anger is used against her.

When a woman finally screams — that’s not madness. That’s the sound of decades of disrespect, invalidation, and emotional neglect catching fire.
And yet… everyone rushes to label her “crazy,” instead of asking what was done to her!

Her reaction is NOT the problem!

The problem is what she’s reacting to —
the mistreatment, the manipulation, the invalidation, the denial, the pretending.

This was shared by a client and it broke my heart into millions of tiny pieces as she watched it with me in the session with tears of exhaustion running down her face…. I sat for a long time in silence after she left… thinking not everyone has access to knowledge or therapy. And even knowledge and therapy can fail at times in the face of persistent, decades-long maltreatment. That’s not weakness - that’s “being human”.

So if you’re falling apart, if you’re exhausted, if you’re holding pain that no one sees or understands —
I wish you compassion SO incredibly deep that it helps you firmly believe: you were NEVER the problem! ❤️‍🩹

If there’s one voice that shapes your reality — and your relationship with yourself — it’s the one inside your head. So make sure it’s kind!

And when you forget (because we all do), pause and ask yourself:

“Would I ever talk this way if it were someone I truly loved and cared for?”

If the answer is NO, that’s your cue!

Say what you would say to someone you truly love.

Because I don’t want you to have double standards!

I’m honored to be speaking at the 2025 Transformational ChairWork Therapy Conference.

I’ll be joining a panel on “Creating the Bridge with Chairwork for Intergenerational and Multicultural Healing.”

This is not just theory for me — it’s lived experience. I grew up in a patriarchal, misogynistic society like Pakistan. And yet, I was given a voice because of my incredible father, a man far ahead of his time. Over the last 25 years of living and working across Asia, Europe, and America, I’ve seen what happens when voices are silenced — and also what becomes possible when they are set free.

My wish is simple and urgent: that every woman, back home and across the world, has the chance to stand in her own power, to be heard without apology, and to lead change.

Chairwork is one way to build that bridge. It gives language to the unheard, dignity to the unseen, and healing to the generations who came before us.

This work matters — because when one voice rises, it clears the way for many more.

Thank you, Scott Kellogg & Amanda Garcia, for inviting me to be part of this amazing journey ♥️

Some days it hits me harder than others.
I sit across from people in so much pain, and I realize over and over again: if your nervous system isn’t calm, nothing else matters. You can pile on the money, the cars, the shiny gadgets, the dream house… but it won’t fix the chaos inside.

We don’t live in our homes or cars. We live inside our heads and bodies. And if that space is not anchored in some level of acceptance or peace… the world will always feel like chaos, no matter how perfect it looks on paper.

Fear doesn’t stop the danger—
it stops YOU.
Take the step.
Speak the truth.
You are not alone!

May those who need to hear this find it today!

What sparks a fire under me is watching someone like doing incredibly difficult stuff with tremendous ease! It continues to remind me that inspiration isn’t always a coach shouting—you can find it just by acknowledging grit, grace, and lived example.

So, here’s a small tribute to Jane—without labels, just gratitude 🙏🏼 Thank you for being a constant source of inspiration for me! I want those arms for sure : )

What about you?
Have you witnessed anything inspirational lately —a casual trial class, a group walk, a meetup—and walked away with more than just sweat or superficial conversation? I’d love to hear your small-but-meaningful moment below 🙌🏼
