A study found that various factors linked to financial hardship, reduced physical activity, increased screen time, and emotional issues like depression and anxiety contributed to a rise in over the years.

The research reveals that:

🍔 Emotional eating acted as a middle factor connecting anxiety and depression to rising , as well as linking financial difficulties to increasing BMI.

🏋️‍♀️ Less physical activity, fewer fruits and vegetables in the diet, increased screen time, short sleep duration, and feelings of were also related to higher BMI.

😢 Higher BMI was associated with body dissatisfaction and lower quality of life, but not directly with anxiety and when controlling for other factors.

🤒 Body dissatisfaction and poor self-rated health also played a role in connecting rising BMI to quality of life over time.
