Health Sciences Authority in Singapore has declared a wholesale-level recall of 18 hand sanitisers due to detection of acetaldehyde and/or methanol at levels above the pharmaceutical pharmacopeia limit.

When choosing hygiene products, you should be aware that not every hand sanitising product that is currently on the market has been tested to meet the necessary quality standards. As of February 24, there have been 35 locations with reported confirmed cases of . Remember good hand hygiene practices:-

🤲 Wash with soap and water when hands are visibly soiled and after using the bathroom.

🤲 Use an alcohol-based hand rub (with min 70% alcohol content v/v) all other times.

🤲 Avoid touching your face with your hands!
