✨ The word “Follicle” comes from the Latin folliculus, meaning “little bag.” A follicle is a tiny sac-like structure that anchors each strand of hair to your scalp.

Hair follicles are highly sensitive to hormones. When exposed to DHT (dihydrotestosterone) — a byproduct of testosterone — follicles can shrink over time. This process, called miniaturisation, shortens the hair growth cycle and can lead to thinner strands and pattern hair loss. DHT can play a role in both male as well as female pattern hair loss
