Ang Chin Moh Funeral Directors 洪振茂生命礼仪 Ang Chin Moh Funeral Directors is committed to serving the needs of bereaved families. Ang Chin Moh Funeral Directors had humble origins.
(1)

Arriving from Nan’an County in Quanzhou, Fujian province, our founder, Mr Ang See Karr saw the need for quality and essential funeral services for the Hokkien community in Singapore. A humble shop at Upper Pickering Street opposite the old Police Headquarters was subsequently found and under the name “Ang Chin Huat Casket”, funerary services for the Chinese communities began. At the point of founding in 1912, we are one of the few funeral companies in Singapore. Indeed, Ang Chin Huat Casket is an early pioneer of the funeral profession in Singapore. Throughout our 103 years history, we moved premises several times, from No. 72 Rochore Road to Old Liang Seah Street and today, the company operates from a modern office at Block 88 Geylang Bahru. At the turn of millenium, Ang Chin Huat Casket was being rebranded to Ang Chin Moh Funeral Directors to mark its transition into a modern and professional service provider, with a strong focus on delivering service excellence for bereaved families. Milestones for Ang Chin Moh Funeral Directors include the grooming of Singapore’s first female embalmer in 1990, the setting up of “Western Casket” and “Flying Home” in 2000 to cater to the funerary needs of the Christian communities and the repatriation needs of Singaporeans. In 2010, the fourth generation owner of Ang Chin Moh Funeral Directors, Mr. Ang Ziqian successfully bid for the lease for Mount Vernon Sanctuary and after months of renovations turned a disused crematorium into modern funeral service halls of choice for bereaved families and the funeral profession. Ang Chin Moh Funeral Directors went from strength to strength with the establishment of Ang Chin Moh Foundation in 2013 to focus its efforts and profits into better serving the community in charitable causes, public education, uplifting the standards of the funeral profession and preserving the heritage of the profession. A century on, Ang Chin Moh Funeral Directors remains committed to serving the needs of bereaved families, the funeral profession and the larger Singapore society. The progress of Ang Chin Moh Funeral Directors as a Singaporean company is a reflection of the progress of Singapore as a modern nation state.

“The future is neither predictable nor controllable, but Ang Chin Moh will always be here to faithfully serve the needs of those who are going through their darkest moments of their lives. - Deputy Chairman, Ang Ziqian.

“Happy wife, happy life”

On 5 February 2026, we kicked off our very first private premiere of the year together with guests and friends from Ang Chin Moh Funeral Directors 洪振茂生命礼仪 and The Last Gift with the movie 3 Good Guys《老婆,我爱你!》 Starring 马一朵, Simonboy, tommynbcb, Fah Chatchaya Suthisuwan, Grace 張嘉軒 and Germaine Chow.

Directed by Boi Kwong, the film follows Jeremy (Simonboy) — a man standing at the crossroads of marriage, feeling uncertain, unlucky, and searching for clarity. In a moment of desperation, he visits the mystical shrine of Kwan and Riam… and from there, his life begins to take an unexpected turn.

Beneath the humour, heart, and supernatural twists, the story is really about love, commitment, fate, and the choices we make for the people who matter most. It reminds us that relationships aren’t just about grand gestures, but about responsibility, sincerity, and being present for one another through life’s ups and downs.

This message resonates deeply with us. Just as the film explores devotion and standing by loved ones during pivotal life moments, Ang Chin Moh Funeral Directors 洪振茂生命礼仪 is centred on care, compassion, and dignity. Both the story and our mission reflect the importance of love that endures — not only in joyful milestones like marriage, but also in times when families need strength, support, and compassion the most.

✨ Catch 3 Good Guys《老婆,我爱你!》in theatres from 12 February 2026!

Thank you for joining us this evening to celebrate a story about love, family, and the bonds that shape our lives. 💛

🌸 The Last Gift – 辉煌人生 🌸

We held our first talk of the year on 13 January 2026 where our funeral preplanning advocate, Eve Yap, shared her insights with attendees from Fei Yue Active Ageing Centre (Buangkok Green) and Sunlove Senior Care Centre on the importance of funeral preplanning and how The Last Gift supports families during moments of grief.

When a loved one passes without prior arrangements, families may be burdened by unnecessary stress and conflict, making it difficult to focus on healing and honouring those final moments of farewell.

Emotional resistance can also arise, as conversations about death are often sensitive or even taboo — raising the challenge of how to begin these important discussions with care and understanding.

During her talk, Eve highlighted that funeral preplanning is one of the most meaningful gifts one can give to both oneself and loved ones, offering comfort, clarity, and peace of mind when it matters most.

This reflects our belief:
“𝘎𝘪𝘧𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘺 𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘧𝘶𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘭 𝘱𝘳𝘦-𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨. 𝘗𝘭𝘢𝘯 𝘪𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘸𝘢𝘺.”

In the second session, Brandon from the National Environment Agency (NEA) shared about the MyLegacy platform and the available facilities.

Thank you Fei Yue Community Services for the warm hospitality, and to everyone who joined us for this meaningful afternoon 🌿✨

Why Are Muslim Funerals Conducted So Quickly?

In Islam, life and death are both seen as sacred parts of one continuous journey. When a Muslim passes on, the funeral is typically held as soon as possible — often within 24 hours — to honour the deceased and return their soul to Allah swiftly and respectfully.

The funeral rites not only bring comfort to the grieving but also serve as prayers to Allah (God) for mercy and forgiveness for the departed.

While grieving is natural and permitted, it is observed with composure and respect for Allah’s will. Crying is allowed, but excessive displays of sorrow such as wailing, tearing of clothes, or self-harm are discouraged.

At its heart, an Islamic funeral is an act of love and faith — offering comfort to the li

ving and prayers for the departed’s peaceful afterlife.

🌸 The Last Gift - Allkin Singapore: Funeral Home Tour🌸

On 5 November 2025, we were delighted to welcome Allkin Singapore and their participants brought by Rachael and Rong Ying. This marks our second collaboration with them since our previous workshop in August.

During the tour, our speaker, Marketing Manager, Eve Yap shared the importance of funeral preplanning and addressed common misconceptions, while giving participants an opportunity to explore various funerary products and understand the processes behind them.

Our Managing Director, Mr. Ang Ziqian, concluded the session by sharing his valuable insights and experiences from his years in the profession, emphasizing that preplanning one’s funeral allows families to “Leave Behind Love, Not Regrets.”

A heartfelt thank you to Allkin Singapore, Rachael, Rong Ying, Kei Ng, Corine Low, Kaemon Koh and all the participants for joining us once again for this meaningful and engaging session. We look forward to more opportunities to learn and share together. 💐

🌸 The Last Gift - 辉煌人生🌸

On 4 November 2025, our Managing Director Mr Ang Ziqian shared his insights at Fei Yue Community Services on the importance of funeral preplanning and how The Last Gift supports families through moments of grief.

Family disputes often arise when a loved one passes without a plan in place, leaving family members overwhelmed by grief and frustration instead of focusing on healing and cherishing those last moments of farewell.

During his talk, Mr Ang highlighted that preplanning is one of the greatest gifts you can give to yourself and your loved ones — offering comfort, clarity, and peace of mind when it matters most.

It perfectly echoes our belief:
“Gift your family peace of mind with funeral preplanning. Plan it your way.”

Thank you Fei Yue Community Services for the warm hospitality and all the attendees that joined us during this wonderful afternoon🌿✨
