LIPOMA
A lipoma is a benign lump of fatty tissue that grows under the skin. It is usually soft, movable, and painless, though it can become painful if it presses on nerves. Lipomas can appear anywhere on the body.
CAUSES
The exact cause is unknown, but genetic predisposition plays a role. Some risk factors include:
✔ Family history – Higher chances if lipomas run in the family.
✔ Obesity – Increased fat accumulation may contribute.
✔ Diabetes – Metabolic conditions can be linked.
✔ High cholesterol levels – May influence fatty tissue growth.
SYMPTOMS
✅ Usually painless and slow-growing.
✅ Painful if nerves are involved or if it becomes inflamed.
