Wellness Homeopathy

Homeopathy is a system of healing, devised by a German Homeopath, Dr Samuel Hahnemann in the year 1816. It works by stimulating the body's vital force, using energetically potentized homeopathic remedies to effect healing. It is a system of complimentary medical treatment based on the theory that substances that cause certain symptoms in a healthy person can - in diluted amounts - cure those symptoms in an unhealthy person. An example of this principle: Onion is a substance which makes your eyes water and your nose burn. If you are having an attack of hay fever with watering eyes and a burning nose, a homeopathic remedy made from onion can relieve it. The theory behind the practice sees the body's immune system as a self-healing process, or "vital force." Illness occurs when this force becomes imbalanced. By administering highly diluted doses of the agent that caused the illness, homeopathy works to stimulate the body's self-healing response. Homeopathy, is a holistic approach to achieving good health, it focuses on the whole person, not solely on the condition and works to help the body heal itself and thus restore health As part of the "whole person" approach, homeopathic practitioners in addition to a person’s illness related symptoms also consider the person's lifestyle, including emotional and mental responses, to determine the most suitable remedy needed. Homeopathic medicines are micro-dosed natural substances derived from botanical, animal or mineral sources. A specific homeopathic medicine dilution is obtained by a precise and controlled process of successive "homeopathic dilution". The medicine is diluted or de-concentrated and then vigorously shaken, traditionally referred to as succussion. This process transforms the original substance into a therapeutically active medicine.
