The iStent infinite is the smallest FDA-approved implant in the human body πŸ‘οΈβ€”a minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) device designed to lower eye pressure.

Proud to share that our team has published in the Journal of Glaucoma the largest group of Asian patients studied to date, spanning multiple glaucoma types and severities. Our results show that iStent combined with cataract surgery provides sustained eye pressure control and reduces glaucoma medications for at least 3 years after surgery.

Not Suitable for LASIK? πŸ‘οΈ

Being told LASIK is not suitable does not mean you are out of options. Factors like corneal thickness or eye health simply mean a different approach may be better for you.

Procedures such as PRK or other treatments may still provide excellent vision correction.

The right solution starts with the right assessment.

It was an honour to be invited by the Singapore Sports & Exercise Medicine Centre to speak on the acute evaluation and management of eye injuries in sports.

As we begin the new year, this serves as a timely reminder of the importance of protective eyewear, especially when participating in high-risk sports such as racquet and combat sports.

Protecting our vision is a simple step that can prevent lifelong consequences.

Glaucoma is often called the β€œsilent thief of sight” because vision loss can happen slowly, without obvious symptoms at first.
By the time you notice difficulty with side vision, the damage to the optic nerve may already be advanced.

Regular eye checks are especially important if you:
β€’ Are over 40
β€’ Have a family history of glaucoma
β€’ Have diabetes, high eye pressure or past eye injuries

Early detection and treatment can help slow down vision loss and protect your sight for the long term.

If you’ve been told your spectacle power is too high for laser vision correction or you prefer a reversible option, ICL might be worth exploring.

An Implantable Collamer Lens is:
β€’ Placed inside the eye, in front of your natural lens
β€’ Designed to correct high degrees of short-sightedness, long-sightedness and astigmatism
β€’ Typically not visible to others once in place

Not everyone is suitable – eye health, corneal thickness, prescription and lifestyle all matter. A detailed eye assessment is needed to see if ICL is an option for you.
