The Pain Relief Practice

The Pain Relief Practice Pain Relief for Neck, Back, Knee, Shoulder and Hip Aches & Pain. Advanced Non-Invasive Medical Techn Why The Pain Relief Practice? How do we achieve relief?

The Pain Relief Practice not only focuses on relieving your pain, but also determining and treating the root cause of the pain. By using cutting edge non- invasive tissue repair medical technology, combined with specialised physiotherapy by overseas trained physiotherapists, we commit ourselves into achieving good prognosis in a short time. Unlike other clinics which focus on stretches and exercis

e, which are helpful over a long term, we are dedicated to use the latest medical technologies on top of the exercises to achieve pain relief faster. Non-Invasive Radiofrequency
Radiofrequency is a non-invasive, office based procedure easily performed to provide relief of pain by stimulating the body’s natural wound healing response. In several clinical studies success rates are above 80%. By delivering energy transcutaneously deep into the targeted tissue, non-invasive radiofrequency treatments require no down time and allows immediate return to work and normal daily activities. Spinal Decompression Therapy
Spinal Decompression Therapy is an FDA cleared, non-surgical treatment that has an amazingly high success rate for neck and back pain. It is designed to unload the spinal disc to provide very effective relief of pain in the back, neck, legs, and arms. These conditions can be caused by herniated, protruding, bulging or degenerative discs, spinal stenosis, sciatica, radiculopathy (pinched nerves) or even failed surgery. By cycling through distraction and relaxation phases and by proper positioning, a spinal disc can be isolated and placed under negative pressure, causing a vacuum effect within it. From a mechanical standpoint, disc material that has protruded or herniated outside the normal confines of the disc can be pulled back within the disc by the vacuum created within the disc. The vacuum within the disc increases blood supply, secondarily stimulating a healing response. This results in pain reduction and exceptional healing at the injured site. Physiotherapy Treatments

After our physiotherapists assess your condition, we will develop a personalized treatment program which may include one or or more of the following treatments:

Joint Mobilization

This involves careful use of skilled graded forces to move a joint in a desired direction. This form of physical therapy is usually used to improve joint motion and normalize function by improving joint nutrient supply. It also help to control pain and relieve muscle tension. Therapeutic Exercises

This involves prescribing exercises based on the specific condition of the patient. It allows for faster recovery through an increase in flexibility, strength and muscle control. Postural Training

Poor posture is the underlying cause of many neck, back and shoulder problems, as well as headaches. Postural training is therefore an important part of many treatment programs. Core Stability Exercises Training

Core stability exercises helps the body to re-learn correct movement patterns through specific therapeutic exercises activating key core muscles. This re-educates the body to move in a physiologically ideal manner to recover from pain and allow optimal performance. Sports massage

Sports massage, a form of sports physiotherapy, is geared toward athletes of every kind, from professionals to weekend joggers. The massage is specific to the athlete’s sport of choice and is often focused on a particular problem area like the knee or back. Sports massage can be used as a means to enhance pre-event preparation and reduce recovery time for maximum performance during training or after an event. Athletes have discovered that specially designed massage promotes flexibility, removes fatigue, improves endurance, helps prevent injuries, and prepares them to compete at their best. Medical Massage

Deep tissue massage targets knots and releases chronic muscle tension. With a special focus on the deepest layers of muscles and tendons, the result is very effective relaxation and pain relief. Taping

Taping helps by providing joint protection, muscle stabilization, and muscle feedback. It can also be a rehabilitative method to re-educate the neuromuscular system, promote lymphatic flow and drainage, reduce pain, enhance performance, prevent injury, and help injury resolution. Spinal Decompression

In traction, a pulling tension is placed on the neck or back. This distraction force stretches the muscles around the vertebrae of the spine, and expands the space between the vertebrae. This provides reduced pressure on the spine, and relieves pinched nerves from irritation. Ergonomics Training

Ergonomics advice is invaluable at work and home to prevent pain caused by repetitive movements, poor posture, poor seating, desk position and computer alignment. You will be advised on maintaining a good posture and shown how to do this to prevent body aches, muscle tightness and pain, especially neck aches, shoulder tightness and back pain.
