𝐂𝐚𝐧 𝐈 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐦𝐲 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐝 just ended?
- Yes, although it's not very likely. You can get pregnant at any time during your menstrual cycle if you have s*x without using contraception.
- It is also possible to become pregnant if you have never had a period before, during your first period, or after having s*x for the first time.
- There's no "safe" time of the month when you can have s*x without contraception and not risk becoming pregnant.
- However, your fertility peaks during your menstrual cycle, which is when you're most likely to conceive.

𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐲𝐜𝐥𝐞
- Your menstrual cycle begins on the first day of your period and ends on the first day of your next period.
- You're most fertile when you ovulate (release an egg from your ovaries), which usually occurs 12 to 14 days before you start your period. - You are most likely to get pregnant at this time of the month.
- Though it's unlikely, it's possible to become pregnant right after your period. S***m can sometimes survive in the body for up to 7 days after you have s*x.
- The result is that if you ovulate early, you may be able to get pregnant soon after your period ends, especially if you have a naturally short menstrual cycle.

𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲.
New parents often feel unprepared when they welcome their newborns home from the hospital.
Preparation for the transition to home can be made easier by taking steps.

1. 𝐁𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐚𝐛𝐲, always 𝐰𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 (or use hand sanitizer) because newborns do not have strong immune system, they are at risk for infection.
Ensure that everyone who handles your baby also practise good hygiene.
2. 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐚𝐛𝐲'𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐤 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐝.
Carry your baby upright or lay your baby down with head cradled and supported.
3. 𝐃𝐨 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐧𝐞𝐰𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 playfully.
There is a possibility that shaking can cause bleeding in the brain. You shouldn't shake your baby to wake him or her - instead, tickle his or her feet or blow on his cheek gently.
4. The carrier, stroller, or car seat should be securely fastened to your baby. 𝐃𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐨𝐫 𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲.
5. Your newborn 𝐢𝐬𝐧'𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲.

Pay attention to your body after giving birth. You should assume something isn't right if it doesn't seem to be right. In some cases, soreness is to be expected, but too much pain could indicate a serious problem. Keep your own health in mind when caring for your baby.

Things to consider
- Postpartum hemorrhage
- Headaches
- Deep vein thrombosis
- Postpartum preeclampsia

𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧'𝐬 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡
High time we Women, guarded our health,
which indeed is our greatest wealth
The nuclei of our households we form
and whenever our folks face a conflict or an internal storm,
they invariably turn to us
and patiently listen and help we do, without any fuss
We place the needs of our 'Kith & Kin' before ours always
and that's how... neglected our health stays
Let's not continue to wait...
till it gets too late
Our Health should, in our ' Priorities list', in the top slot fall
and we should promptly address
our health issues, big & small
and regularly visit & follow our
doctors we must
for far too long our concerns have gathered dust
Now on this front let's spread awareness all around
and most importantly let's touch a new ground.
