It was heartening to see more than 670 community members including persons with disabilities and caregivers, nearby residents, students, tenants, partners and staff of Enabling Village come together to paint the community mural.

This 62-metre mural stands as a powerful testament to the strength of community at Enabling Village, showing how art can bring people together regardless of ability. It celebrates inclusion, collaboration and shared ownership of the space, reminding us that it truly takes a village to build an inclusive society.

Spotted on Asia One! Get a peek at the Independent Living Studio (ILS), which provides training for persons with disabilities to develop essential daily living skills in a simulated HDB flat.

Jointly managed by SG Enable and TOUCH Community Services, and supported by SPD, ILS offers a realistic environment that brings learning beyond the classroom, helping users build confidence and decision-making skills for independent living.

As part of the Enabling Masterplan 2030, we are strengthening support for those with disabilities after they turn 18 and age out of the system, and caregivers. Read the article below!
