On 10 September 2025, HWA had the pleasure of hosting the Hwaseong Welfare Foundation at our premises.

The programme began with an opening introduction and a lively Q&A session, where we shared about our work and addressed questions on our services. This was followed by a presentation from our Social Service Department, highlighting the services and programmes we provide for our beneficiaries.

The group was then introduced to our specially equipped transport vehicle with a hydraulic lift, before touring our Rehabilitation Centre to learn more about our facilities and ongoing work.

We are heartened by this meaningful exchange and the opportunity to share more about our work at HWA. Cheers to the friendship fostered!

The SG60 celebrations continued at HWA, bringing joy and togetherness to our pioneer generation clients!

Our Whampoa Rehab clients sang their hearts out in National Day sing-alongs celebrating the spirit of Singapore through familiar tunes. They also enjoyed a fun demonstration by a volunteer on balloon sculpting, learning how to twist and shape red and white balloons. During Dance-a-Nation, everyone joined in as best they could, tapping and moving to the rhythm of this year’s National Day theme song and enjoying the music together.

The day’s games brought extra energy and excitement, and our clients were delighted with the goodie bags to take home.

It was a heart-warming day of music, movement, and camaraderie — a wonderful way to mark SG60 and celebrate the vibrant community spirit of our pioneer generation! Majulah Singapura!

On Saturday, 12 July 2025, our Befriender Sub-Committee, together with EXCO members and volunteers, enjoyed a meaningful evening outing with our members at Chinese Garden.

The outing began at the iconic Cloud Pagoda, where everyone took photos and admired the beautiful structure up close. Members had a lovely time wheeling and strolling around, soaking in the peaceful surroundings.

We then explored the Tea Pavilion and Bonsai Garden. Some enjoyed the quiet view of the lotus pond at the pavilion, while others appreciated the delicate beauty of miniature trees at the Bonsai Garden. The next stop was the Bamboo Grove and Waterfall, a favourite among many. The calm sound of flowing water and lush greenery made it a peaceful spot for group photos and quiet appreciation.

As the sun set, we made our way to the Grand Arch and crossed the White Rainbow Bridge to Lakeside Garden, where a delicious dinner awaited us at Fusion Spoon Restaurant. Over dinner, everyone bonded through shared laughter, warm conversations, and genuine companionship.

This outing wasn’t just a walk in the park—it was a celebration of friendship, inclusion, and the simple joy of being together.

Thank You NYGH Students for Spending Time with Our Clients!

We were delighted to welcome students from Nanyang Girls' High School 南洋女中 (NYGH) to HWA over four sessions held across April and May 2025. During their visits, the students interacted warmly with our clients, bringing energy and enthusiasm.

Beyond meaningful conversations, the students also took the lead in organising and facilitating engaging activities that brought smiles and laughter to our clients. From games and performances to hands-on activities, their thoughtful planning and inclusive approach made each session enjoyable for all.

We appreciate the students’ efforts and their contribution in creating a meaningful and memorable experience for our clients!

HWA was pleased to welcome the Gyeongsangbuk-do Association for the Disabled in Korea for a meaningful exchange recently.

The visit began with a welcome introduction and screening of HWA’s corporate video, followed by a lively Q&A session, where we shared more about our work and services supporting persons with disabilities and seniors in Singapore.

Guests were then introduced to HWA’s specialised transport services, with a demonstration of our wheelchair-accessible vehicles and how they are designed to provide safe, convenient travel for our clients. The visit concluded with a guided tour of our Rehab Centre, where the group had the opportunity to observe our facilities and learn more about our rehabilitation programmes.

We appreciate the opportunity to connect and engage with fellow advocates for disability inclusion and care!
