Huangdi Neijing reveals the wisdom that Original Chi is an intangible and ethereal force, incredibly subtle and pure. No medicines or foods can restore it; only moments of semi-consciousness during sleep, serenity in meditation, and controlled breath can replenish it.

Traditional Chinese medicine places a special emphasis on nurturing Original Chi within the human body. This is why techniques like slapping massage are employed to care for Original Chi and harmonize the body. The underlying principle of these methods lies in not only unblocking the body's energy pathways but also guiding the flow of Chi from the head downward and from the feet upward, allowing the upper and lower energies to converge at the Mingmen acupuncture point in the lower back. This naturally triggers a subtle transformation of Chi within the body, leading to a state of semi-consciousness and, consequently, the rejuvenation of Original Chi.
