Enso Bio-Kinetics

Enso Bio-Kinetics Welcome! At Enso Bio-Kinetics, our mission is to help people achieve balance within their bodies through therapeutic body work and physical training.

Deep tissue work and pressure

Deep tissue work is when the therapist works muscles that are closer to the bone. (This is as opposed to superficial work, which is focused on the skin or muscles just underneath the skin.) Depending on the intent and the area that needs to be work, the ability to work at the right depth at the right time is important. In many commonly "tight" or sore areas of the bo

dy, such as the shoulders, the back, and the hips, there may be muscles three, four, or sometimes more layers deep! In other areas, there's only one layer of muscle, or their a multiple layers that are thin or fragile. In these areas, too much pressure or work too deep can be harmful. It can make the muscles more tense, or worse it can cut off blood flow or damage the tissues, and leave you in pain for days. We use expert knowledge of anatomy and sensitivity to musculature to determine the best depth and pressure to release your muscles, and help facilitate relaxation, recovery, healing. About Myofascial Release (MFR) Therapy

"Myo" refers to muscle, and "fascia" refers to the connective tissues that surrounds the muscles (indeed, all of our tissues, from bones to organs). MFR is a set of techniques that allows the therapist to look at the body as a connected whole, and understand how our injuries, habits, and daily activities can lead to tension, postural distortions, chronic pain, and inhibited range of motion. All of our muscles work in pairs. Using the whole-body understanding of how those pairs are out of balance allow the therapist to rebalance the interactions between those muscles, and can prpoduce amazing levels of change in pain and posture. About Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT)

This system utilizes the techniques from all the other modalities, applied with a very specific understanding of human anatomy and physiology with regards to muscles, bones, and nerves. Also known as trigger point masage therapy, this is a powerful set of techniques that can target problems with incredible accuracy and effectiveness. This kind of work is often required before some of the other modalities can be used effectively. About Sports Therapy

Sports therapy is one of the fastest growing modalities of massage therapy. The vast majority of professional athletes receive some level of sports therapy in order to maintain their bodies, recover from tough workouts and injuries, and of course bring out their best possible performance while competing. In addition to drawing on many of the other tools from other modalities, Sports therapy consists of body mobilization, muscle lengthening techniques, and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation theory. This is an integrated, holistic practice, which is all about health and wellness. As such, the treatment is only the first step. In addition to recommending simple stretching and strengthening exercises that can help, we will also help you look at your daily routine to help identify the possible origins of the pain, injuries, or tension you are experiencing.
