The Lending Room, Inc. 501c3 non-profit Accepts and loans Durable Medical Rehab Equipment at a minimum donation of $1.00 per item in the Beaufort, SC area regardless of insurance or income.

The Lending Room is an all-volunteer organization that accepts and lends durable medical rehab equipment to anyone who has a need at a minimum $1.00 donation per item. We gratefully accept donations of hospital beds, wheelchairs, transport chairs, walkers, bedside commodes, shower chairs, canes, knee walkers, etc. to be passed on to those who can use them. We're located at 954 Ribaut Rd., Beaufort, SC 29902, directly across from Beaufort Memorial Hospital. Turn at the traffic light away from the hospital and immediately turn right into the upper parking lot and walk against the building to the aqua door. Look for the Access Health/ The Lending Room Parking signs. Hours of Operation for medical equipment pickup/ drop-off:
Mon 9:30 am-3:30 pm
Tues 9:30 am-3:30 pm
Wed 9:30 am-3:30 pm
Thurs 9:30 pm-3:30 pm
Fri 9:30 am-3:30 pm
Sat. 9:30 am-3:30 pm

After Hours contact info. In most cases, one of our volunteers will respond within 24 hours during the week with possible delays on the weekends.

The Lending Room needs your help again! We are very low on all types of durable medical equipment, such as, Bedside Commodes, Walkers, Wheelchairs, Transport Chairs, Canes. Tub Transfer Bench, Shower Chairs, etc. Electric Wheelchairs and Electric Scooters.

We sincerely appreciate your donation of the items you no longer need. We couldn't do what we do, that is, Lending durable medical equipment without you.

COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT.. The Veterans 1st Thrift Store located at 612 Robert Smalls Pkwy., Suite D, Beaufort, SC 29906 will be closed the first week in June for building renovations, Tuesday, June 4th thru Saturday, June 8th. They will reopen on Tuesday at 10am, June 11th.
