Transform Your South Carolina Yard with Expert Skills!
Home Horticulture Foundations: Lawns & Landscapes is a 6-week online course starting on February 2, 2026, that teaches research-based techniques for designing and maintaining beautiful South Carolina lawns and landscapes. Video modules are on demand through March 9, covering everything from soil analysis and pest identification to landscape design and climate-resilient gardening strategies. Best part, if you would like an interactive learning experience, you can choose to participate in one of two field days throughout the state.
Choose Your Learning Path:
• Video Series Only: Access 9 comprehensive modules at your own pace
• Video Series + Charleston Field Day: Friday, March 20, 2026, 10 AM-3 PM at Medical University of South Carolina Arboretum and gardens in Charleston (includes hands-on workshops, lunch, and expert problem-solving clinic)
• Video Series + Due West Field Day: Friday, April 10, 2026, 10 AM-3 PM at Janice Hamilton Haldeman Arboretum at Erskine College in Due West (includes hands-on workshops, lunch, and expert problem-solving clinic, tour of arboretum and gardens
All participants receive access to videos through May 4, 2026, plus printable resources, diagnostic tools, and curated reading lists. Master Gardener Volunteers earn 4 continuing education hours for attending the field day.
