For my clients! If you’ve been on my table we have definitely talked about fascia. …How it functions, what it needs, and why I never neglect it in sessions. ✨

Here is the visual! Similar to nylons in its “pulling”. 🤌🏼

You’ve seen fascia when you’ve had chicken for dinner and there was a thin film over the meat. 🍗 THATS the fascia.

Fascia is the upper layers of tissue that covers the WHOLE body 🤯 that means if one area is snagged, it can pull on potentially the rest of the body. When neglected, we get tension.

Fascia is everything. I always focus on fascia release in bodywork sessions as I address other players in whatever you have going on. 😁

More space just became available this week and next 📆 :) see you soon 🫶🏼

Fascia is tissue (pictured) that layers over and between the muscles. Trigger points are nerves that got matted up in the fascia.

A trigger point feels mild but electric. They’re popular around the shoulder blades. I’m sure you have at least 5. Some get a nerve pretty good and can pull and refer up the neck, down the arm, or to the chest.

Ironing and nourishing the fascia in a massage helps release a trigger point and/or prevent any. (Trigger points usually develop from a nice mix of improper use of a muscle fiber and stagnation)

Trigger Point Release (TPR) is a simple technique used to directly release a trigger point. I’ll teach you how to do this so you know how to work through your fascia and trigger points between massages.

Speaking of… it’s time for a massage.

You’re an active participant in your bodywork sessions.

1. BREATH moves stuck energy, tension, toxins, and other forms of stagnation. When something is intense or stale, breathe into the area I’m working on.

2. MOVE your body, shimmy the hand/limb/etc when energy feels stagnate or compiled, this moves the energy out. Yes, even when I’m working on it is okay, and usually helpful even to me.

3. PREP with electrolytes and minerals, this makes for healthy, hydrated muscles.
