📣 Bethlehem City Council welcomed account executive Jo Daniels at their first meeting of 2026 this past Monday.

Will Oliver, reporter with Lehighvalleynews.com writes, “Monday also marked a historic date for the city, as Daniels, who’s also the daughter of the city’s first Black firefighter, became the first-ever elected City Council member of African American descent, according to now-Council President Leon.”

While incumbent Councilwomen Rachel Leon and Hillary Kwiatek, both Democrats, were poised to have their positions back for another four years, the panel also saw the addition of account executive Jo Daniels and local educator Justin Amann, also Democrats.

✨ An Evening of Elegance. A Lasting Impact. ✨

The Chamber’s 2026 Snow Ball is more than a black-tie celebration — it’s a night dedicated to giving back to our community in a meaningful way.

On Saturday, February 21 at Wind Creek Bethlehem, our Silent & Live Auction will benefit Second Harvest Food Bank of Lehigh Valley and Northeast Pennsylvania, a program of Community Action Lehigh Valley, supporting critical efforts to fight food insecurity across our region.

🎁 We are now accepting auction donations.
Your contribution helps ensure families throughout the Lehigh Valley have access to nutritious food while showcasing your business to a highly engaged audience of regional leaders and decision-makers.

📲 Scan the QR code to submit a donation, or
📧 email Bailey at baileym@lehighvalleychamber.org
to get involved.

Together, we can turn generosity into impact — and make this year’s Snow Ball one to remember.

As we step into the new year, we’re taking a moment to reflect on our purpose and recommit to our mission.🌟

The DEI Collaborative, an initiative of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, was born from the growth and success of our Diversity Councils. Our work is rooted in empathy-building and intersectionality, with the shared goal of driving meaningful progress toward greater diversity, equity, and inclusion across the Lehigh Valley.

While our individual Diversity Councils continue their important work through their existing leadership and structures, the DEI Collaborative remains focused on elevating voices that champion equity, access, and community well-being.

We’re grateful for the momentum we’ve built together and look forward to a new year of learning, collaboration, and collective impact.👏
