I also attend the amputee support group hosted at Bethlehem North, which I truly enjoy and always look forward to. I love being able to make conversation and connect with others there

Our residents had a wonderful time painting rocks in preparation for the Earth Day tree planting event on April 22 at the Rose Garden 🌱🎨 We’re excited to be part of this meaningful collaboration with the City of Bethlehem Forestry team and to celebrate something so special for our community.

A heartfelt thank you to Nasma Shahda and Kaitlyn Weber for joining us to paint rocks with the residents. Your kindness and support meant so much, and everyone genuinely enjoyed spending time with you 💚

We are pleased to share this success story from Bethlehem South Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation:

After experiencing a serious stroke, Terry Edwards arrived at Bethlehem South facing major challenges. At first, even simple things like speaking or moving felt far out of reach. Day by day, through determination and the support of our therapy team, he began rebuilding his strength and confidence. Small victories slowly turned into meaningful milestones as he regained movement and found his voice again. Today, Terry is walking over 200 feet, climbing stairs, and engaging in conversation. Now he’s preparing to return home to his family stronger, more independent, and full of hope.

✨ Our Activities team hosted a fun evening game of Jeopardy with residents! Everyone had the chance to test their knowledge, think through the clues, and enjoy a little friendly competition together.

There were plenty of laughs, great teamwork, and some impressive trivia skills on display. It was a wonderful way to spend the evening connecting, learning, and having fun together!

Lillian Reda, Genesis' National Director of Memory Support Clinical Practice and Education, recently attended the Alzheimer's Association Community Leaders Summit in Anaheim, CA.

This inspiring gathering brings together community leaders from across the country to share ideas, strengthen partnerships, and advance a collective vision of a world without Alzheimer’s and all other forms of dementia. The summit energizes participants to expand outreach, support, and impact in communities nationwide.

Reflecting on the experience, Lillian shared, “It was truly an impactful learning and networking experience. The ‘purple’ passion among attendees, the powerful personal stories shared, and the insights into the current momentum in care and treatment advancements were not only inspiring but absolutely energizing.”

Genesis is also proud to mark 17 years of participation as a National Team supporting Walk to End Alzheimer’s and Do What You Love to End ALZ, along with our continued efforts to expand access to education, support programs, advocacy, and research.
