The residents and activities team at Bethlehem North are proud to share that our new Pen Pal Club has formed an international partnership with a facility in Australia. Residents were full of excitement as they opened their very first letters from across the globe.

Donald was especially delighted to discover that he and his new pen pal share many of the same interests. She is already eagerly awaiting his reply, and he is looking forward to writing back.

Resident Spotlight: Gary Pontician - Breinigsville, PA

My rehabilitation journey started after a right below-knee amputation. I admitted to Bethlehem North to work on rebuilding strength, independence, and mobility. The therapy team, especially Amanda, have been supportive and they pushed me to reach me goals.

The team worked with a prosthetic company to get me fitted for the perfect leg so I can walk again. Finally, when the day came and I stood on two legs, I realized the hard work in therapy was all worth it. When I walked for the first time in about a year, I felt liberated! I couldn’t believe I was finally standing on two legs again.

This process hasn’t been easy, but I am proud of the progress I’ve made. I’ve learned that you can’t wait until you “feel like it” to do the work. You have to keep going, even on hard days. And I want other people to feel that hope too.

My experience here was very good. I have visited other nursing homes to see friends and family, and this place is a lot nicer than most, so if I ever needed care again I’d want to come back to Bethlehem North. The therapy team helped strengthen my hands despite my rheumatoid arthritis, and I am having far less pain now. The staff made me feel like they truly wanted me to succeed rather than simply doing their jobs. I especially loved how friendly everyone was from nurses and aides to therapists, office staff, and even the other residents. I would absolutely recommend this facility to others.

Happy Veterans day! 🙌

We would like to express our gratitude to Fred Gouls and his team from Lehigh Valley Military Affairs Council for recognizing and supporting our Veterans at Bethlehem North Skilled Nursing Facility. We had a wonderful time sharing laughs, engaging in fun trivia, and reflecting on the dedication of our Veterans who have served our country.

We had a great time at Kospia Farms for their Veterans Day event!

Everyone in attendance came together to express our appreciation for our veterans. We are fortunate to support the farm through raffle baskets designed to raise funds for our veterans. I would like to extend my gratitude to Janet Hunt and the VFW Auxiliary-National Organization for their continuous efforts. I was also pleased to help others understand the assistance we aim to provide our residents through our exceptional services at the Skilled Nursing Facilities, Lehigh Commons Senior Living Community, and the support from Lehigh Valley Aging In Place .❤️

We are pleased to announce an upcoming Winter Donation Event at the Bethlehem North Skilled Nursing Center on November 21st. As many members of our community may be in need of warmth during the winter season, your contributions would be immensely valued. This event aims to support our senior community throughout the winter months.

We encourage you to contribute items to one of the centers listed on the attached flyer or to join us on November 21st at the networking event dedicated to supporting these donations. Those who attend will enjoy hot chocolate, coffee with a variety of creamers, and an assortment of cookies. This gathering will not only be a wonderful opportunity for us to come together but will also reinforce our shared commitment to providing exceptional care for our senior population.

Our residents are delighted to experience the vibrant colors of fall and appreciate the beautiful outdoor decorations.
