The conversation around Alzheimer's is evolving! While we once thought it was simply "bad luck" or genetics, research now shows multiple contributing factors to this complex condition.

Inflammation sits at the core - chronic inflammatory processes can damage brain cells over time. This can be triggered by blood sugar imbalances (some researchers call Alzheimer's "Type 3 diabetes"), gut dysbiosis affecting the brain-gut axis, and environmental toxin exposure. 🔬

💊 The Hidden Epidemic: Nutrient Deficiencies & Your Health 🍎

Even with abundant food choices, many of us are walking around nutritionally depleted! Modern farming practices, processed foods, chronic stress, and certain medications can all rob your body of essential nutrients.

The most common deficiencies I see in my practice are magnesium, vitamin D, B vitamins, and omega-3s - and they can manifest as fatigue, anxiety, muscle cramps, brain fog, and even heart palpitations. 😴

Your body speaks in symptoms, not deficiencies! That afternoon energy crash might actually be chromium deficiency affecting blood sugar, while those muscle twitches could signal magnesium needs.

The functional medicine approach looks beyond basic lab ranges to optimal levels for YOU. Remember, supplements aren't the only answer - nutrient-dense whole foods are the foundation. Think colorful vegetables, quality proteins, and healthy fats for a nutrient-rich plate. 🥗
