Mother Mary appeared outside a church in the village of Knock,
County Mayo Ireland on August 21, 1879.
Knock means “hill” in Irish.
During the apparition Mother Mary was silent and described as deep in prayer - her eyes looked towards heaven, her arms bent in front of her and palms facing inward.
Up to 25 witnesses said Mother Mary was beautiful and wearing a brilliant golden crown, dressed in white garments with a white cloak clasped at her neck.
To her right was St. Joseph and on her left John the Evangelist.
Further to the left was a cross and a lamb (symbol of Christ) upon an altar.
Apparitions of Mother Mary ask hearts to open to receive her Mother Love, protection & grace, as to flow love and compassion into the world.
