I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 1995, worked in private practice since 2001 and recently opened my private practice, Rinehart Counseling Services, in 2011. I have also been involved personally with adoption and surrogacy and found it to be very fulfilling. in Psychology from the University of Mary Washington in 1993, an MSW from Boston University in 1995 and a B.S. in Computer Science from Muhlenberg College in 2000. In 1992, I traveled to London to study the difference between British and American approaches to psychotherapy. I focused my training on clinical skills with diverse populations including r**e survivors, children with autism, pregnant and parenting teens and individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. This training gave me a broad scope of experiences to enrich my private practice. In 1995, I moved back to the Lehigh Valley from my schooling in Virginia, Massachusetts and abroad and began working as a Primary Therapist at the Alternatives Partial Hospitalization Program of Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. There I provided group and individual psychotherapy for individuals requiring intensive treatment as a step down from psychiatric hospitalization. Eventually I became the program's Senior Therapist and then a Clinical Information Analyst where I worked to improve patient care throughout the Lehigh Valley Health Network. I continued to work for the Lehigh Valley Health Network until 2002 when I became pregnant with my first child. A year before leaving that position, I also began working in private practice at Bethlehem Counseling Associates until 2011 when I opened my own practice, Rinehart Counseling Services. I utilize a cognitive behavioral approach to help individuals realize their full potential in life. Education is a personal value and I continue my training on an ongoing basis to stay up to date and current with best practices in treatment as I strives to meet individuals with warmth and compassion.
