Some people use their voice to inform. Some use it to inspire. Craig Stevens does both, and then he rolls up his sleeve.

Today, at the For the Love of Life Blood Drive, Craig once again chose action over applause. He chose to give something that can’t be manufactured, replicated, or replaced. He chose to give life.

Craig’s ongoing support of Miller-Keystone Blood Center isn’t just about showing up. It’s about standing up for patients in our community who rely on blood transfusions during their most vulnerable moments. It’s about understanding that behind every donation is a child fighting cancer, a trauma patient in an emergency room, a parent, a neighbor, a friend.

Time and again, Craig reminds us that advocacy is powerful, but advocacy paired with action is life-changing. Because of leaders like Craig Stevens, hope isn’t just something we talk about. It’s something we deliver.

From all of us at MKBC, and from the countless lives touched by his generosity...thank you, Craig. You don’t just support the mission. You help carry it.

Our donors and team members are absolute 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐬! ⭐️🩸
Will they win an Oscar for “Best Dramatic Performance?" Probably not.
But they are saving lives, and that's worthy of a standing ovation.

No red carpet. No paparazzi. Just real heroes rolling up their sleeves, showing up, and making an impact. 💪

After decades of answering the call, and running toward danger when others were running away, the City of Reading's Fire Chief, James Stoudt, has officially hung up his helmet. 🚒

But retirement hasn’t changed who he is. The same bravery, selflessness, and unwavering commitment to others that defined his career continue to shine through. While he may no longer be leading crews into burning buildings, he’s still finding ways to save lives by rolling up his sleeve to donate blood.

Throughout his career, he put others ahead of himself without hesitation. Today, that hasn’t changed. His uniform may look different, but his mission remains the same: serve, protect, and give back. Because being a hero isn’t about a title... it’s about heart.

Thank you, Chief, for a lifetime of courage and for continuing to show us that service doesn’t end at retirement. You’re still saving lives, and you’re still leading by example. ❤️🩸

𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞. 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬. 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭.
Cheryl has been donating blood for decades. What started as a friendly family competition turned into something deeply personal when she met the people whose lives depended on blood donors...friends, coworkers, loved ones.

Now, every 10–14 weeks, she rolls up her sleeve knowing one simple act can save someone’s life. “It’s the easiest thing in the world to do,” she says. And yet, the impact is life-changing.
