Coco The Grief Support Pup

Coco The Grief Support Pup Hi, I’m Coco! I’m the newest (and furriest) member of the Connell Funeral Home team.

I was sent to bring warmth, comfort, and a few tail wags to those who are grieving a loss of a loved one. ❤️

Happy New Year!!
As we step into a new year, we do so with gratitude for the trust you place in us and deep respect for the lives and stories that shape our community. A new year brings fresh beginnings, but it also carries the memories of those we hold close in our hearts.
If this season feels hopeful, we celebrate with you. If it feels heavy, please know you are not alone.
Thank you for allowing us to serve your families with care, dignity, and compassion. We look ahead to the year before us committed—now as always—to guiding families with steadiness, professionalism, and heart.
Wishing you peace, comfort, and quiet moments of hope in the year ahead.

Grief is heavy work.
Being around people who can still make you smile or laugh can lighten the weight more than you might expect.

Some days healing looks like quiet tears. Other days it looks like a silly sweatshirt, a tongue sticking out, and a reminder that joy is still allowed.

Love,
Coco 🐾

🐾 Coco had a full and meaningful weekend doing what she does best…bringing quiet comfort when it’s needed most.

Her weekend included multiple services, offering gentle support to families honoring their loved ones. And her weekend ended with her sitting with a family as they made arrangements for someone dear to them, providing a calm and reassuring presence during a very difficult moment. Later, Coco attended the year-end remembrance service at our Pennsburg location, and she wrapped up the night working a viewing where she made a new friend, Benny, a toy poodle and fellow service pup; who was also there to help in his own special way. And now she is resting under a desk!! 😴

We’re proud of the work Coco does and the comfort she brings, especially during emotionally heavy weekends like this one. Sometimes a warm presence and a gentle nudge are exactly what’s needed. 🐶 ❤️

Coco received an early Christmas Gift from some family members today. She was a bit unsure about it. 😂
Thanks Steph and Audrey!

🇺🇸 Honoring Our Heroes 🇺🇸

Today, Coco pauses to remember and thank all who have served. Their courage and sacrifice protect the freedoms we enjoy every day.

With gratitude to our veterans and their families — you are true heroes. ❤️🐾

After spending her day greeting visitors and offering quiet comfort, Coco finds a peaceful spot to rest. 🐾

Grief can be exhausting — for those experiencing it and for those walking alongside them.
Coco reminds us that even supporters of the grieving need self care. 💛
