It’s World Pharmacist Day! We’re grateful for the amazing team of people that serve our community every day. A few reasons why we ❤️ our pharmacists: ✔️ Pharmacists are seen more than any other healthcare provider (that's an average of 25 times per year!) ✔️ 90% of people live within 5 miles of a community pharmacy like ours. ✔️ Pharmacists are medication experts, but they’re also trained in clinical tasks like point-of-care testing, vaccinations, and more. Did you know that one of America’s founding fathers was once a pharmacist? As a young man, Benjamin Franklin worked as an apprentice at a local mercantile store and dispensed medicines and herbs. 🌱 Later in life, helped to establish the first hospital pharmacy in 1751 in Philadelphia. So next time you reach for a Benjamin, remember that this founding father had a whole lot longer of a resume than you might have thought!
