Meet Brittany, our Life Enrichment Director.

Time at The Palmettos: August 2024

Favorite Promise: #17 "I promise to use compassion as my second language"

Best Memory: Cruise Week 2025 (if you know, you know)

Favorite part of my job: My favorite part of my job is being able to give residents new experiences. Just because you're a little older than the year before, fun is to be had!

Meet Jeffery!

He's been apart of our Life Enrichment Team for 6 months. You can find him on the weekends keeping our residents busy and engaged.

Favorite promise:" "Put my heart into everything I do"

Best Memory: When we made pool noodle turkeys for Thanksgiving!

Favorite part of my job: It's truly a deeply fulfilling experience to form connections with the residents and learn about the unique stories of their lives. Over time, they become like family, and it's hard not to develop a genuine love for them as you get to know them on such a personal level.

Today's advice from a 101 year old:

"Love! Love on one another, love your family and friends. Never forget the love that our God gave us"

Instead of cupcakes she requested blueberry muffins and was surrounded by family from out of town. What a milestone to celebrate!

Today marks the birth of Lewis Carroll, author of Alice in Wonderland, in 1832. Our life enrichment team put together a Mad Hatter's themed bingo event, where our ladies were crowned queen of hearts and one male resident took on the role of a jester. Brit and Melody showcased their skills, but the residents had a fantastic time. We wrapped up the day with happy hour, honoring January birthdays and enjoying a performance by Mike.

This week is Activity Professionals Week. Stay tuned for a post this week interviewing our Life Enrichment team.

This is reserved for a big THANK YOU to our incredible partners who braved the weather and challenging road conditions these past few days to be at our centers, deliver medications, and ensure other frontline workers made it to work so that they could care for our patients. Your dedication, sacrifice, and commitment do not go unnoticed. Because of you, care never stops—no matter the circumstances. We are truly grateful for all that you do.

This week at our partner meeting we celebrated our partner of the month. You see her working as a Resident Assistant on both Assisted Living and Memory Care. She honors our Better Way Promises and jumps in wherever needed.

We also hosted a Family Night for Memory Care where we educated residents loved ones on ALZ and Dementia. We are looking forward to continuing this for both communities throughout 2026.
