Grounding isn’t just about calming down. In yoga, we use two pathways:
🌿 Langhana (downregulation): cooling, calming, slowing the system when overstimulated. THINK : dimming the lights down
🔥 Brahmana (upregulation): activating, energizing, and lifting energy when shut down. THINK: turning the lights on
Both are essential for a regulated nervous system. When you know how to choose Langhana or Brahmana techniques, you meet your body exactly where it is — not where you think it “should” be.
