They want to fill in the wetlands and build a neighborhood across from the Rec Center. It was mentioned during the Alljoy boat landing meeting that it was to remain a green space / park.

The Zoning meeting that was scheduled for last Thursday regarding the proposed neighborhood to be built at 34 Ulmer Road (across the Rec) has been rescheduled due to the recent storm.
The new meeting time is -
Thursday, January 30, 5:00 pm, in the Council Chambers at 100 Ribaut Road - Beaufort
