Dr. Carlos A Mercado is the founder and director of Southern Utah Kidney and Hypertension Center. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Nephrology, Interventional Nephrology and Clinical Hypertension. Dr. Mercado was the Chief Resident of Internal Medicine and the American College of Physicians Resident of the year in 2004. Doctor Mercado has advanced training in the field of Chronic Kidney Disease, uncontrolled high blood pressure,post kidney transplant care, diabetes related kidney problems, anemia and dialysis care.
